Have been hit up with 2-3 pig butchering scams this year too!

Always the same - wrong name text - I tell them that - they stay friendly and always mention they are well to-do somehow in the response (one was all about fine wine, one mentioned she was a business owner, etc.)

It just feels wrong so I block them after they continue talking to me, but I can feel the scam/grift through the phone, even before they make the pitch.

It must be working though, why else the big influx?

I'll sometimes dip over to that subreddit when I want to feel smarter than average.

A person will post the most sketchy interaction, shock me by explaining they still sent $$ somewhere, and then say something like "should I be suspicious? Maybe if I send more money??" :shock:
