Killswitch (2017)

A former astronaut is hired to work for a giant corporation working on a new energy source. They're creating a mirror universe without organic material and by converting all the matter there to energy, it gives this universe an unlimited source of clean energy. They flip the switch and things don't go well as you would expect.
This is a weird film. One of those movies where you wonder how it got made because the budget had to be high. Half the movie is shot in FPS mode with a HUD and everything. They took the most criticized part of DOOM and amped it up. The only difference is the hero here is a pussy. He's literally not a fighter. So it's more like you're watching a movie through the eyes of someone watching a movie.
The acting is meh.
The production values are awesome. They did a great job here. I dug that every sign in the mirrored universe is backwards. Picture a Starbucks store and then the word Starbucks written backwards and ditto for every conceivable sign from road signs to graffiti.
The story is a complete train wreck. Sooooooo many massive holes in the plot. The biggest one is why they hired this guy and what his actual job entails. He seems to have no purpose whatsoever.
Skip it.
