I despise Houston's insistence on keeping two TEs involved in the passing game. First it was Joel Dresesen, now it's Garret Graham. Vultured 4 catches, 20+ yards, and a score. Matt Schaub doesn't connect 34 times for 350 yards and 3 TE TDs every week.TheCatt wrote:Well, I won thanks to O Daniels and A Johnson. I've got Daniels in my keeper league, and today he paid off.

Suh specifically apologized to linebacker DeAndre Levy, whose pick six was negated by Suh's unnecessary roughness penalty for a low block on Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman John Sullivan. The Lions won the Sunday game, 34-24.
"Levy accepted it," Bell said of the apology. "So if he can accept it, everybody should be able to accept it."
No, fuck you. The dude you ought to apologize to is the one whose knee you could have destroyed. You get the feeling if he weren't out on the field playing football, he'd be beating the shit out of people as a club bouncer or hip-hop bodyguard.

Fucking Roddy White. Have to bench him for at least another week. Maybe Jennings wakes up this week. I can't see Jerome Simpson lighting up Chicago's D, and AP can't run it every play.

I've got Rice on one team and David Wilson on another.
I'll be hitting the waiver wires this week.

I was already running a 2RB system to begin with. There weren't any viable starters on the wire (some asswipe jacked Bernie Pierce a couple weeks ago) to begin with.Leisher wrote:I've got Rice on one team and David Wilson on another.

The other league severely caps your claims (20) and limits your bench spots (5 bench, 9 starters). Over there, the injury roulette wheel landing on you spells the end of your year. Getting someone from the claims list ain't an option and no one trades.

AFC North will be 2-6 after tonight with both wins being against AFC North teams.
Last year...let me repeat that...LAST YEAR these teams were the #1, 2, 3, and 4 ranked defense in the NFL.
Cincinnati was picked by many to be the AFC's Super Bowl representative.
Again, the Steelers need to blow it up and get some picks to rebuild. How much money would we save by trading Ben to someone like the Vikings? Let him go be on a contender for the last third of his career and not sit through rebuilding.
As for fantasy, I was pissed last night down 15 or so with 2 guys playing and my opponent had 1 playing. I was projected to score 68 (he had 65 at the time), and he was projected to get to 78.
I was just reading a recap of the week and saw Marshawn Lynch had 3 TDs last night. I stopped and thought, "Wait, I have Marshawn!" Sure enough, I pulled off the win thanks to Lynch!
I'm now 2-0 in that league.
And holy shit, I just checked my other league (the first is with friends/family and this second league is with work peeps) and I doubled the score of my opponent who has the Steelers defense left to play. Unless some miracle occurs, I'm 2-0 in both leagues!

There's also the fact that Rhodes may well have priced himself out of his market. Rhodes, entering his ninth year, was apparently offered a $3 million guaranteed deal by the Cardinals, and other teams showed interest. But Rhodes didn't bite on any of the offers, and there have been none since March.

Couldn't even come close to saving my ass. I still don't know why he rings up the 49ers every time. Think that was the first time in a few games he didn't put up 100+ yards on them. Only 2 short, though.

Jags fans protesting for Tebow.
Honestly, why not sign him?
Your starting QB is Blaine Gabbert and his backup is Chad Henne. An aging Chad Henne...
You have the single worst offense in the NFL.
Your attendance is way down. The stadium is damn near empty on game day.
Meanwhile, there's a hometown hero sitting on the market waiting to be picked up by a team. A guy who would immediately sell a ton of tickets.
Your season is already a wash, why not make the fans happy, and sign Tebow to sell tickets while you rebuild?

The owner or GM is already on record saying no way in hell.

While Tebow isn't necessarily an overall downgrade from either of those two, uh, quaterbacks for lack of a better term, he's not exactly someone whose arrow points "up" for the franchise future. He's duct tape, just like the Broncos found out.

It was the GM, and honestly, the owner should help him save face by forcing the issue. After all, it's HIS money, not the GM's.
Every single empty seat on Sundays is proving that GM wrong.

You're missing the point.
They could bring in Aaron Rodgers and it wouldn't matter. They don't have a solid team. They're weak at most positions and in a division with three legit contenders. They have zero chances of making the playoffs let alone winning a Super Bowl. They are officially rebuilding.
Thus, it doesn't matter who your QB is right now as nobody on the staff is your future QB. So why not fill seats and throw a bone to your fan base? It's win-win.
