Ahh, I googled it and I see how russians hired a thousand hackers to make fake news articles. That's... kind of funny. Assuming those google results aren't fake, created by democratic agents.

It's so sad, Hillary really cares about us and things would have been so much better with her. I think I'm really getting behind the idea of only allowing approved information to reach my eyeballs. People just can't be trusted to make correct decisions.

2 - The "fake news" thing cracks me up. It's their fault people believed bullshit? How many years has the Weekly World News published stuff here? How many times has The Onion been cited as a legit news source? How many times have MSM outlets been caught fabricating stories or changing details? Does anyone doubt this will eventually lead to our government "regulating" the media?

I think this last election proved how important it is to have the electoral college. Not because Trump won. Fuck him. No, because people on the coasts genuinely believe their opinion means more than those not on the coasts.

You don't find it annoying that potentially just over 50% of the citizen voters in a state control 100% of the electoral votes? That fucking maybe such bullshit contributes to the equally bullshit two-party system?

You don't find it annoying that a "majority wins" election system would essentially make just under 50% of all citizen voters' opinion and needs meaningless? That fucking maybe such bullshit would do nothing to eliminate the two party system?

Let's not fucking pretend that had Trump lost, yet won the popular vote, you and everyone on the left wouldn't be stroking the cock of the electoral college.

"Hey! We lost an election! Let's fucking throw out the whole damn system until we find one that assures us victory every fucking time!" Yeah, that sounds soooooo much better.

The electoral college isn't why Trumps president. The Democrats and Hillary are why that asshat won the presidency. The scariest part of all this is THEY CAN'T ACCEPT THAT AS FACT. Nope, it has to be the system or Russia or sexism or the FBI.

You control Hollywood, the MSM, and have the upper hand in the court of public opinion because of your strategy of using social issues to bury the GOP, yet you can't beat Trump?

Fucking idiots.

Same as their voters: "Whaaaa Whaaaaaa My candidate didn't win! Everyone who didn't vote for her is a dumb piece of shit. How could they not see the world exactly like I do? I'm so morally and intellectually superior that everyone with a brain MUST agree with me on all issues."

Fuck them. Fuck the Dems. Fuck the Repubs. Fuck everyone pretending the system is the problem. Fuck everyone pretending Hillary OR Trump had any business being our two candidates. Fuck the MSM who hasn't reported fairly in decades. Fuck everyone who thinks silencing their opposition will end that opposition. Fuck everyone who spent the past 8 years telling everyone to "deal with it" and support the office, but who now are "resisting" or proclaiming "not my president". Fuck every single self absorbed pile of human shit who can't fucking handle it because they didn't get their way.

Long story short, I disagree with your assessment sir.

Yes, doing it by state is so much better.

Yeah, giving regions with different needs, resources, cultures, industries, etc. the opportunity to voice their opinion is dumb.

Plus, did you hear they owned slaves? Everything they say is invalid.

Also guns were only for hunting and nobody needs an AR-15 to hunt.

Each state gets to decide how their electoral votes get split (or in most cases, don't get split). So take it up with your state legislature. Maine and Nebraska split it by voting districts. Each state has an electoral vote for each Rep and Senator. Look at the county maps for the elections and you'll see that a Democrat would probably never win another national office for a very long time.

So what liberals mean isn't that they want a more fair election system. They want an election system that favors them more.

Did you hear about how evil Republicans use gerrymandering to cheat the voting system? According to my relatives only Republicans do that, probably in collusion with Russia. And sexism.

Trump fired Comey.

http://www.npr.org/2017/05/09/527663050 ... ames-comey

I kind of imagine the conversation going something like, "I'm sorry to hear you've lost sleep over my winning the election. Take a nice long forever to try and get over it."

It would be neat if this led to government officials actually doing their jobs instead of opining about their favorite candidates on the record.

Ha, who am I kidding.

I'm not sure if it was on this forum, but I straight-up called this one a hoax on day 1.

That has been hilarious. "They" have been calling for him to get fired since the election. Trump fires him, "they" lose their minds.

This complicates things. Not saying Comey didn't deserve to lose his job, but the timing on this is a pretty bad unforced error on Trump's part. His administration handling things is like watching spider monkeys taking turns humping a basketball.

I don't have a problem with the firing over the handling of the email case. Just curious as to what we know now about that which wasn't known when Trump took office. That's why this looks bad to me.

I think Comey should take to Twitter saying that "Trump should be careful or I'll spill the beans on him about Russia! Sad!"

The timing is very suspect. Maybe he's just tired of being President and wants to be impeached. Why wait until now, unless...

Grand Jury Summons, this:
Comey told the heads of the Senate intelligence committee that he went to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein last week and pushed for more resources to be devoted to the Russia investigation, according to two sources familiar with the discussion.
And the Nixon thing referenced above is not a good look. I don't see a lot of difference in Nixon firing the special prosecutor and Trump firing the regular prosecutor. They were both investigating the president and his administration.

The second paragraph of the firing letter is super, super WTF?!

Russia done fucked us good here. This is a mess.

Huge mess. I think everyone is assuming that he must be in league with the Russians on the election because he can't be so incompetent to allow these optics. I contend that he actually can be this incompetent and not have been in cahoots with the Russians.

Edited to say that more and more polling is showing that Russia had a lot less to do with the election outcome and the tribalism of the radical left had a lot more to do with it. The white middle class is feeling very alienated by the lesbian dance theory crowd that's been the spokespeople for the Democrat left over the last few years. How many here have expressed the feeling that they feel targeted just for being a white heterosexual? That feeling isn't just here.
