Another day, another person cheating in baseball.
If only there was some way to analyze a substance beyond "well it felt too sticky to be rosin."

I think they've done it twice. And are 1-1 in those games.

Though to be fair, those 4 teams get to play the 5th team a lot.

I happened to see Sportscenter talking about the White Sox yesterday.
Pretty sure any of us could start for them.

Something actually interesting is happening in baseball today.
So the DBacks currently have the better record of the three teams by 1 game, but have to watch from home as the Braves and Mets decide who gets into the playoffs and who stays home. The Braves and Mets had two games this weekend rained out and are being made up today in a doubleheader.
If the Braves or Mets sweep today, the DBacks are in along with the sweeping team.
If the Braves and Mets split today, the DBacks are out and will be staying home.
The Braves and Mets both have tiebreakers over the DBacks, so it doesn't matter which team sweeps.
Here's the thing, the team that wins the first game has no incentive whatsoever to win the second game. They're in and winning the second game changes nothing. That means they'll probably sit all of their stars. They don't want to waste arms when they have a playoff game a few nights later. Hell, they'd probably let Gordon pitch a few innings if they could.
Thus, a split probably has a pretty good chance of happening.

And that's what happened. Mets won the first as both teams tried to win. Braves easily won the second as Mets no longer tried.
DBacks get eliminated.

I drove right by the stadium on Saturday night while the Guardians of Cleveland were engaged in a contest with the Yankees of New York.
So I'm pretty sure that makes me the top baseball fan here.

Apparently this was a pivotal moment in the game. I get that the pitcher has a shorter distance to run than the hitter, but like, aren't pitchers used to just standing there?

This could actually be the best zinger you've ever posted. 10/10
That pitcher didn't lose them the WS, but he definitely fucked up that play.
