It's almost like these are businesses who want our attention and really don't give a shit about accurately reporting news facts.

CNN went full FOX News today.

The main headline in giant letters is: "Trump turns debate into chaotic disaster".

27 headlines in their main news section are about the debate. 0 are negative towards Biden. 2 are not debate related. 11 of the 27 are negative towards Trump in the headline.

Is there anyone left on this board who wants to debate that CNN is legit news or less biased/slanted than FOX News?

Since Americans are too stupid and/or brainwashed to do it, how does one fix the MSM without hindering free speech or having the government take control?

I think a non-partisan, independent entity would have to exist that could properly monitor news outlets. They would give out approval, ala Michelin stars.

Maybe press credentials could be based on that rating? The higher the rating the closer you sit in the briefing room, the more interviews you get, and so on?

I also would make a rule stating opinion and analysis pieces cannot be on front pages, even if clearly marked. Their headlines, which is as far as a lot of people get, can shape opinion.

I think most people have completely lost objectivity.

Every headline today on every news site should be along the lines of: "This is our best?"
