Jeebus. Buffalo played a solid 58 minutes of football, then wtf?

Was I still in that league? Who'd I start?
That return man for Buffalo is a massive idiot. He should have simply stood in the end zone and let a few seconds tick off, then knelt down.

Well, that's better than my other league. I played a guy who had Drew Brees.
I noticed that on Friday and told him I stood no chance because Brees was facing Detroit.
He threw 6 touchdowns!! Fucking Detroit.

I was playing Brees & the Eagles D in one league.

At least Farve won his first game. 15 more to screw up yet.

Oh yeah, a rockin' 115 yds or so. Didn't win because of him. He was just along for the ride.

For the record, I love that autodraft put him on your team. Or did you pick him up?

I almost thought Leish had masterminded some conspiracy to force him on my team. But yeah, fucking autodraft.

Remember when the Vikings had a fucking offense? Do they even show up the first half anymore?

I pick my QBs relatively alright. My WRs are another story.

For some reason I thought Washington would be able to show some O against St. Louis.

Terrible weekend for football.
The Buckeyes dropped two spots despite winning. (Voters did this because USC lost to an unranked team and wanted to punish them, but couldn't put them behind the Buckeyes, whom USC beat last week. Which is further proof that voters don't want games or they would have seen that OSU dominated USC and it was only poor coaching that allowed USC to win. USC had a single drive in the second half, and that drive was the winning score. Other than that, they coudln't get beyond their own 20.)
The Steelers gave Chicago a gift victory. (Ben threw a pick on the goal line and Jeff Reed missed a chip shot with about 2 minutes left.)
And my fantasy team (in my league that's for money) hasn't even been competitive for two weeks straight.

Went to the Panthers/Falcons game.
In GA, wearing panthers gear, expecting at least a little trash talk.
Mostly, everyone was nice, though a "from-the-streets" type lady told me to "Go back to England"
Which is like, the most confusing smack talk i've ever heard in my life. I think she thought she was a Native American, or something.
It was pretty fun, even though we lost.

Sat, Sep 5 Navy W 31-27
Eh, it's early. I wouldn't worry about rankings until November, they just don't matter.

Yeah, the Navy game was another one that Tressel almost fucked up.
We were up 17-7 with a few minutes left in the first half and he put our backups in like the game was over and out of reach!
Later, we were up by two scores in the middle of the 4th and on 4th and 2 from the Navy 15, he went for it instead instead of kicking the field goal, which would have put them up by 3 scores.
Tressel might be the classiest guy in all of Division 1 football, but that doesn't mean it's always a positive. He needs a killer instinct. He has never had it, which is why OSU has rarely covered the spread since he's arrived. He's way too conservative and won't run up the score on anyone.
The folks in Columbus have been calling for him to be fired for 2-3 years now. There is a strong push for him to hire an offensive coordinator, but thus far he has refused. I think if we see the offense struggle some more during the season or see games put into doubt due to conservative play calling plus a loss to Michigan, I think you'll see the school force him to hire someone.

Yeah, another year under Rodriguez might light a flame under Tressel if R does at Michigan what he did at WV.
