Don't do it. If you are going to play old Atari games, don't do it on anything with a monitor or TV. Do it on a small screen, like your phone. It'll look so much better that way.
Atari 2600 games really did look best on old tube TVs that helped smooth the sharp pixels and smooth the color gradients. And they weren't so big as to make the low resolution a problem.

The devs wouldn't be stupid enough to force them in full screen, would they?

We recently went to an old style arcade and some of the games were as awesome as remembered. Others not so much.
Sometimes it's better to leave the past in the past.

Yeah.... well, same thing about movies you watched as a kid.
That being said, when I built my MAME I still loved most of the games.

None of us could get past the 3rd wave of Tron.

I wonder if playing too much Tron caused my dislike of spiders.

My Steam store has become a giant VR ad. It's kind of annoying.

Eh, not bad. Although 30 days may be a small window for games that don't get many reviews. I'd have set a rule more along the lines of "past 30 days unless < 10% of all reviews then take most recent 10%". Something like that. But whatever.
