Running around with blue and or red bandannas in certain parts of California is a great way to get the shit kicked out of you.

Saw that earlier, and it's an interesting observation. Maybe pandas mate so rarely in captivity because they have an anti-voyeurism gene.

University of Texas does study and suggests >50% of COVID cases are unreported. They said only 1 in 10 were reported, but saying "90% are unreported" sounds unrealistic.

In the US. I'd guess we're in the 1 to 2 million cases range.

That would put the mortality rate numbers WAY high.

Vaguely Corona related:

About a week before the Great Corona Toilet Paper Hoarding, I bought a $35 bidet off of amazon.

Currently sold out.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P2XZIP2

Was really good timing on my part, considering.

Anyway, just installed it, and gave it a test drive.

My b-hole feels pristine, and used 1/3 as much TP. It's a Pandemic Miracle.
This thing is amazing. Don't even get me started on how/why the general human population does not use such a device. Never buy toilet paper again. Any bidet is great, but this one here has the added bonus of looking good as well as having a front and rear — no pun intended — spray option. If you're a guy, it's a nice way to clean the jewels as well as the dumpster. The ladies will love it by default. They cannot resist it's power. Highly suggest not only rinsing the outside, but the insides as well. You will be met with a toot-toot from your exit hole along with some additional stuff that no toilet paper can get to. Build that confidence knowing that you are clean on both the outside, as well as the inside. Like shooting water into the clowns mouth at carnival game, just doing it blindfold. Aim and fire.

They were already rocking the super-complicated bidets when I was there in '99.

I know y'all have a military perspective I don't have, but fuck Modly.
Resigns after I tweeted at him to resign. :)

Man, sure didn't work with my senator

The tone deafness of directly telling the sailors that the cap'n killed his career to save... suggesting that the captain was either a criminal, or stupid.... sheesh. That's the kind of thing that triggers mutinies.

Yeah, I disliked (strongly) but understood re-assigning him... but... that follow-up speech, damn.

Friend of mine is a nurse and texted us this morning
She is hoping they will be allowed to wear homemade masks soon, because right now they have to wear the same disposable surgical mask for a whole week to conserve them. It's gross and she would much rather one she could wash since the purpose of the mask is to protect patients from them not the other way around. They only get a new one for COVID patients
And that's just a surgical mask, not an N95.

Oh CNN, you so damn silly...

Their current top story:
What the rest of the US can learn from CA. Regarding their handling of the virus, lockdown, etc.

Literally, 5 minutes ago that story was directly above this story, which has since disappeared:
CA, despite a national shortage, is still making sure their richest folks get tested.

Can confirm the parking of a literal "plague ship" at a highly visible spot in the industrial port of Oakland made it a little more real. A lot of people saw it from their offices and houses every day until the lock-down.

Rich people are getting tested all over, not surprising.

I wonder what the private cost of a test would be if you REALLY wanted to know and were willing to pay? 2 grand? More?
