Your very first article says that CNN wasn't lying. In the article. Did you read it?

I could make a case that within 10 years the corpses of house flies will, without a doubt, cover all land masses on earth to a depth of 6 feet. All of the data I choose to provide will be 100% accurate.

Which one? The Musk one?
Also, how do you classify "lying"? If a news source doesn't bother investigating or getting the facts straight yet reports something as fact, isn't that lying? Even if you say no, isn't it just as bad? They have a responsibility to the truth, don't they?

Exactly.

Just so we're clear:
Governor of a state is a trusted source and if he's wrong that's ok.
President is not a trusted source and if he's wrong, that's not ok.

Admittedly, our current president makes an obscene # of incorrect statements, so yeah, after the first 1,000 or so, I wouldn't trust him either.

But this goes to prove my point. I wouldn't trust the president either, or any politician for that matter, but to CNN if they have a D behind their name, they get treated as far more credible.

There's no such thing as fake news, right? Now show this to your significant other...

Whenever I see a screen shot like that I just assume it's fake.
Actual Gallup poll data from 2019
Looks like either MEN and WOMEN got flipped, or someone photoshopped it. Since that poll is old, I'm guessing the latter.

That's what I assumed as well, but it's a great one if photoshopped.

Something I learned today that I somehow never knew: Anderson Cooper is a Vanderbilt.
How did I not know that?

People don't make much of it, remember hearing it a few years ago.

CNN: Massive, site covering headline: Worst Unemployment Rate Since the Great Depression

As stated before, current unemployment is higher than the week after Black Friday (traditionally considered the start of the GD). Unemployment hit about 30% within a couple years.
We didn't have the massive social programs back then, but things can very much get worst.
Don't say that in mixed company, though. You'll be called a conspiracy theory Trump lover.

I think things get better from here (May), but lingering pain into Fall. Summer will be slow cuz some # of people will just live on that 13 weeks of government $$$.

Don't believe the message by the person posting either. The real story is that this is a message from their corporate office who owns, I assume, all of these stations. When I worked for a local one, we had shit like this come down from time to time.

Right, but the story is their corporate owner (Sinclair)
owns 294 television stations. These aren't local news any more. This isn't one station with a must-run notice, this is the entire country.

Yeah, that's the kind of world I worked in. Now imagine that most of the country's TV stations are owned by just a handful of companies. That's reality.

Add onto that the fact that most of them just rewrite stories that come down the AP wire. There is no journalism or investigating.
