30k in fines compared to. . . millions in fines? I said a while ago that we would buy the wins just like Penn State did.
Whoops. Except that I don't know what 1.5% of the budget is.
Also, there's the 'ineligible players' thing. I read somewhere else that the NCAA reserves win vacations for that thing. Maybe that article was released in preparation for this ruling?

"#3 Texas A&M upset by preseason #13 South Carolina" - ESPN, I assume in an hour or so if this continues:

-edit- headline upgraded to "#3 Texas A&M avoids scare from pre-season #13 South Carolina"

Oklahoma hurt the SEC by beating Bama, but don't worry, ESPN will spin it.

"Where's OSU's marquee win?"
OSU could beat 5 top 10 teams in a row, and ESPN would make up reasons an SEC team should be ranked higher.

OSU just can't win the critical hypothetical matchup this year.

I was actually looking at that last week. "Was OSU challenged at all this year?" Everyone that was on their schedule turned out to be duds. Have they been truly tested yet?

No. Texas was a close game. No other ranked teams. Michigan will be if they stay ranked.

#1 at the time Texas was a close game, mainly because you had two new QBs and both teams ran super conservative offenses. Texas went on to beat 2 top 10 teams, including beating the shit out of Oklahoma. The same Oklahoma who just beat Bama.
OSU also beat #17 Illinois in Champaign.
The question that the pundits keep speculating on is, "Is OSU just this good that nobody is able to test them?"
TTUN will be the real test. On the road and against a pro DC (Wink Martindale). Hopefully, Day can get the monkey off his back without resorting to cheating like another coach...

I think it will be a test simply because it's Michigan, and Day keeps choking. We are SO young, I don't know that Wink's experience plays it's full potential. No matter how many shirts he tears the sleeves off of.
I think the talent to beat OSU is there, but not the consistency. They try to win the game with every play and make huge costly mistakes.

Day is 1-1 against TTUN, and I stand by that.
He won when Harbaugh forfeited in 2020.
He lost last year.
All other games TTUN was cheating, and thus, don't count.

Agreed on 2020.
Agreed on last year.
Others. . . if the shoe was on the other foot, I'd still hold them against the coach. You just can't lose that game.

If I was playing you in Total Annihilation and using cheats, but you weren't, do all of my victories count? No.

Horrible analogy. I would still win.
I'm not saying the wins count. I'm saying they still count against the coach. I can't think of any reason why I would say "It's ok you lost that game" to our coach.

There is no argument you can make that I think puts Day on the hook for losses where the opposing team knew every play we were running.
BTW, every TTUN fan I meet that claims that title tells me everything I need to know about them. Point being, I've taken a terrible injustice and turned it into a way for me to spot human scum.

I still think Day's shortcomings played a bigger part in the loses than the cheating though. And that's why I'd hold him accountable. But if you want to keep giving him chances. . I'm totally fine with that!
I'd tell my coach "I don't give a fuck what they were doing. You don't lose that fucking game!"

Yeah, I can't agree with your logic.
Nobody is winning when their opponents knows every play they're calling.
