I was half right, he throws just as badly as Ponder. Still runs better.

Minnesota Vikings Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int Rating
Joe Webb(notes) 7 23 61 30.4 2.7 3 23 0 1 21.8
Christian Ponder(notes) 16 28 234 57.1 8.4 1 7 3 0 120.2
Christian Ponder(notes) 12 25 119 48.0 4.8 0 0 1 2 41.9

All 3 games against the Packers. I'm not saying Ponder's a super star, but he's decent.

Of those three, maybe one's a respectable stat line. I still don't see Ponder improving. One 300+ yard game the entire season, nine goddamned sub 200-yard games, five coming after the week 11 bye. He's been shit since then: just as many turnovers as passing TDs (6), one 200+ yard game (week 17), one multi-passing TD game (week 17). For the first six weeks, I'll give him "decent." For the remaining ones, "suck." Toss them both, get someone else.

Right, I agree with you that you'll need someone else if you want a top 10 QB. Who the hell that would be, I have no idea, but it's certainly not Webb. Maybe suck two years from now and try to get Johnny Manziel.

Or trade for Cousins :)

Fuck, I'll take Alex Smith over Ponder or Webb now. I don't think Al's doing much nowadays.

Alex Smith fucking blows. Joe Blow (the backup or 3rd-stringer) is worth more of a look. He's a future Dirty Sanchez.

Post from the future.

I see RG3's doing his best Joe Webb impersonation.

RG3 was pretty hobbled and still looked better than Webb.

He traded 100 yards for a TD. Other than that, his stat line looks goddamned near the same as Webb.

Rex Ryan: It's all about me.
"I don't think I've done as good a job of implementing who I am throughout this team," Ryan said.

Surprised there's space in the locker room, what with the coach's ego and all getting in the way.

He's going to make them all have foot fetishes?

Speaking of football, did anyone watch the massacre last night? Did anyone NOT see that coming?

Notre Dame was simply a lucky team this year. They beat Michigan because Denard Robinson was still the starting quarterback, and turned the ball over 5 times in the first half. 3 of them in the red zone. Notre Dame couldn't beat Michigan right now.

They simply caught a lot of teams on down years, like Michigan State, Michigan, USC, Oklahoma, etc.

I honestly don't know how they beat Stanford.

That's one big reason I didn't like them...besides them being Notre Dame...people tried to compare them to the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes, and that is bullshit. The 2002 Buckeyes had a terrible offense that year, but their defense was the best in ALL categories. Nobody scored on them. They won games despite their offense. They won that championship.

Everyone scored on this year's Irish team. They didn't win games.

They had no business playing Alabama.

Questions from this college season:
1. So does Saban go pro? What does he have left to prove in college? Cleveland will give him whatever he wants and he's buddies with their GM... Plus, the guy is 61. Time to make a decision.
2. Does the NCAA finally pull the trigger on their investigations into Miami, Oregon, Auburn, Boise State, USC, and other schools or are they waiting until the Penn State penalty gets sued away or disappears from the public's memory? Why'd it take mere months to punish OSU for players selling THEIR OWN PROPERTY, while all these other schools have been caught red handed paying players or "agents", etc. and nothing has been done, in some cases for well over a year?
3. Does the NCAA finally tell the SEC that oversigning hurts kids worse than anything the schools in #2 have done, and they can no longer do it? This would mean a powerful tool for LSU and Alabama, that most other schools in the country refuse to do (It's a rule in the Big 10.), would be gone.

Odds to win 2013 BCS: Bama 3-1; Ore 8-1; LSU, OhSt 10-1; TAMU 14-1; UF, FSU 15-1; ND, UL, Clem 20-1; OU, Mia 25-1

P.S. If you wanted Te'o on your pro team, it just became a whole lot easier.

It was DISGUSTING that they were #1 in the nation in anyone's rankings. Pitt by 3 in OT? SERIOUSLY? At least Alabama played some real times. First half was pretty much exactly what I was expecting.

Bama is just dominant. Saban finally got to a program that had enough prestige (sorry MSU) to match his skills, and once he could recruit the best in the nation, game over. At this point: Yeah, he's got nothing to prove, cept maybe "Yes, I am the best ever"... but I dunno, maybe that's more fun than going pro and losing.

ND didn't win their games, the other teams lost them. ND just got super super lucky all season by playing teams on their bad weeks. They were 'beating' overrated teams which caused them to be overrated.

Jets owner also insane:
Ryan met no such fate (like getting fired or quitting). "No," (Jets owner Woody) Johnson said, "I never considered that because my confidence in him as a coach obviously gives me the confidence to keep him as a coach."
...
"I think Rex Ryan is perfect for the New York Jets."

Did the spirit of Al Davis possess a couple people after he died?
