Budweiser considering dropping the NFL.

Ouch, right in the money. I suspect the protests are done.

Coors Light will take over as the official sponsor overnight and within 4 years will overtake Bud as the #1 selling beer.

Thing is that the people against the protests will be the ones most likely to call, so they're going to get a skewed vote.

The hilarious part of all this is that what these players are doing has ZERO affect on the cause they claim to be kneeling for, and in fact, has actually hurt race relations. They should have been linking arms with cops during the anthem since the beginning.

As I said at the beginning, misdirected hissy fit.

Not true.
"At Anheuser-Busch we have a long heritage of supporting the institutions and values that have made America so strong. That includes our armed forces and the national anthem as well as diversity, equality and freedom of speech. We proudly employ over 1,100 military veterans and we work every day to create an inclusive environment for all of our employees. Because only together can we achieve our dream of bringing people together for a better world.

"The Anheuser-Busch phone line has always been available for consumer inquiries on a variety of topics, but we are not conducting a survey regarding our NFL sponsorship.

"We have many long-term sports partnerships, including our NFL sponsorship, and while we may not agree on everything, we still believe in the power of sport to bring people together and overcome their differences. We have no plans to end our NFL sponsorship.”

Heading out to Pittsburgh in the a.m.

I'm booked in the "overflow" hotel (Hilton Garden Inn) for the Jaguars. So I doubt I'll see any players.

Still looks like we'll walk the field prior to the game, during warmups. No guarantee though.

1 p.m. EST game.

During the game I'll be in the Jacksonville section in one of the end zones. Won't be wearing Steelers gear out of respect to my hosts.

Hopefully can leave during the 3rd quarter to beat traffic and begin the 4 1/2 hour drive home.

I'll try to get some pics.

LAME! Also, that implies you'll be sober. LAME!

We have a rule to never leave the Redskins games early... I think we've left 2 early, and then certainly in the late 4th quarter.

Doesn't the VP have the right to express his free speech rights by leaving?

Leisher, leaving early looked like a good idea after all

Sure, but it's really more of a pointless hissy-fit. The 49ers were coming, he knew they would be kneeling. Such a pussy.

I stayed the whole time. Also got drunk the night prior.

Pittsburgh has a place called Market Square that's pretty cool. It's a bunch of restaurants and whatnot surrounding a central area with other vendors, live acts, etc. We sat in City Works, a new restaurant that's massive and has tons of TVs, from 3 until 1 a.m. eating, drinking, bullshitting, and watching games. Meet a lot of Jacksonville personnel and learned about all the behind the scenes stuff that you never hear about. Very interesting stuff I'll share another day.

Ben's worst game as a pro, but to be fair, the two pick 6s weren't his fault, a third pick JuJu fell down thanks to rain letting the safety catch the ball, and a fourth was ripped out of Jesse James' hands. The fifth was Ben's fault, but it happened two plays after he threw a TD pass that was negated by a holding penalty.

The team is still completely undisciplined and the offensive play calling is terrible. That's coaching.

Also, the Fournette 90 yard run at the end saved his day. Prior to that he was bottled up. He wasn't going to get 100 yards on a lot of carries. Again, defense was quitting taking the cue from their head coach.

Two challenges and both failed making Tomlin around 4 for 80 on coach's challenges.

Miami O line coach resigns after being caught on video doing coke.

I got an ugly fantasy win this week. I'm the lowest scoring winner in the league. I had to start Josh McCown at QB if that gives you an idea of the suck. I don't think I've had a RB get double digit points in three weeks, yet I'm somehow 2-1 in that time.

I'm 3rd lowest points this week out of 10 teams. I beat the 2nd lowest points by 1 point. He started Blake Bortles, who somehow only managed 2 points in a 30-9 win :)

My team is absolutely terrible, last place in overall points. Yet, 2-3 after this week.

Ugh. That score is exhibit A in how a score can lie about what happened during a game.

I just looked and I am also the lowest scoring team in my league, yet will somehow be 3-2.

True. Like cops are going to decide to shoot someone in the back or not because of some pampered NFL player kneeling for the anthem.
