Hell, we can't seem to keep actual PEOPLE out of the country.

Wow.
Wondering what buzzword will be used to describe this.... "racist" and "fascist" don't seem to fit.

That's how all laws should be written, IMO. Don't write a law that directly limits freedoms, make a law that enforces the consequences if someone deciding to use their freedom in a certain way (for example to declare their land a gun free zone) ends up causing damage to another party (for example the gun owner that couldn't bring his gun). Then let reality decide who was right and who was wrong, not the government.

If Iowa can attach bullshit standards to one's right to vote, especially given the insane laws that state has on the book, then I see no reason why the same bullshit can't get attached to the amendment right beneath it.

So the first amendment gets less protection than the second? Seems legit.

Charleston folk sue FBI.
Lawyers for three people who survived the attack and the estates of five who were slain say the FBI negligently failed to conduct a thorough background check before Roof bought the gun last year.
If the agency had done its job, Roof's prior drug arrest would have shown up, and the bureau would have denied his purchase, the lawsuits filed Thursday allege.
Let's check this arrest.
Roof had been arrested for possession of narcotics in February, a charge that alone did not disqualify him from buying a gun. But Comey said Roof’s subsequent admission of the drug crime would have triggered an automatic rejection of his gun purchase if the information had been properly recorded in criminal-record and background-check databases.
Are you shitting me? Admission or conviction of possession bars you from purchasing a handgun? Suck a dick.

Matt Damon says he wants all guns banned in U.S.
Yes, I know that's a right wing site, but for fuck's sake, whenever someone on the left says or does something stupid like this, the MSM doesn't cover it. I wonder why...?
Anyway, as you can expect, he's getting blasted. Many are pointing out that he has made a ton of money off of movies where he uses guns. The site I linked challenges him to stop making movies with guns and give back all money earned from movies with guns. Australians are weighing in talking about how they still have gun crime, the only difference now is that law abiding citizens no longer have them.

One of my favorite quotes on this was to the effect, "Yes, gunfights in the street would be bad. You know what would be worse? Executions in the streets."

Germany's gun control laws in action.
He had a 9mm Glock pistol and 300 bullets in his rucksack.
Police do not yet know how the weapon was acquired, but said he had no permit for it and the serial number had been obliterated.
Well, fuck. That's impossible. How did he get it without a permit? Shit, it's almost like he obtained the weapon and ammo in an illegal manner. But there's no way he did that. No black market in ol' Deutschland.

Back in his day as President, Teddy Roosevelt wanted to introduce marksmanship programs into all the public schools. The public pretty much shot that down. Not because of the firearms in schools. It was not uncommon to have shooting clubs in schools already. The outcry was from having the federal government meddling in their schools.

19 people were killed in a mass shooting in Japan. Sorry, did I say shooting?
I meant stabbing.

You know that "Lankford Study" that anti-gun folks cite?
It looks like it's based on intentionally omitted and skewed data.
I know you're all shocked.
The author won't even share his data for a peer review.
