Never going to happen. WRs are a dime a dozen and diva WRs are a cancer.

Are you being insulting? I don't get this comment with your next one. They clash.

It is, but I want to know why more people don't show signs. I also would love to see brains from other sports get tested. Hockey for certain. All combat sports including pro wrestling. I'd even want to see brain scans of runners/joggers and metal band members/fans. Hell, even show me scans from the brains of baseball, basketball, and soccer players who collide. I'm betting you'll see whatever it is they look for in a lot of those cases. The brain, in all those activities, is bouncing around in the skull causing damage.

So why does it affect some people and not others?

Also, football is back starting tonight.

Well, it's been fun NBA trade talk and ignoring baseball, but the real sports are back, so goodbye.

This doctor thinks we spent too much time talking about CTE.

He makes the point that even if they don't have CTE, they probably have brain damage.

Seriously, will we see the end of ALL contact sports in our lifetime?

It's certainly >0% likely.

For Leish.
Coach Mike Tomlin has signed a contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers through 2020, the team announced Friday.
...
"Mike continues to prove he is one of the top head coaches in the National Football League," Steelers President Art Rooney II said. "We appreciate the leadership that Mike has provided over the last 10 seasons, and we are confident and excited to have him continue to lead our team as we focus on winning another championship."

Yeah, I'm not thrilled about that.

Let's see what happens when Ben retires.

Will Josh Doctson ever play?
Washington Redskins receiver Josh Doctson was discussing the early part of his camp Saturday when he said he was happy to show one thing more than anything else. He was healthy.

A day later he hurt his hamstring. Doctson was being evaluated Sunday night to determine the severity of a hamstring injury suffered during a 7-on-7 drill in practice. Doctson spent the rest of the practice in the trainers’ tent, laying down with his right leg propped up. He spoke to coach Jay Gruden afterward, then walked with a limp into the locker room, a towel over his head.

Doctson dealt with two Achilles’ issues last year from May 25 through the end of the season. Because of it, he didn’t practice until late in training camp and only played in two games before needing to shut it down for the season. But his Achilles have not been a problem since the winter.

Were they really thinking that Tannehill was going to make them contenders? Does Matt Moore suck that hard?

Yes they were.

Despite reports that Kaep was the best QB available in the free agent market, in reality it was Cutler. However, that's not saying much.

Gonna have to eat my words re: Kaep getting picked up by a team in need. The Dolphins were definitely his best shot. Unless someone suffers a preseason injury in one of the more liberal cities, I don't think he's getting picked up.

e: Carolina, despite Cam not throwing much in camp due to the coaches/staff easing him back from shoulder surgery, has a 0.00000001% chance.

Give it until midseason when cutler's femur snaps in two.

Something a black friend posted on FB talking about Kaep.
Wanna know what an AMERICAN hero looks like then look no further. No cape, just shoulder pads and an awesome fro. History will shine on him just like Ali. Just like Ali he is hated and vilified in his time, they find a new excuse daily in an attempt to justify his exile, but we all know it's not what he did or how he did it...it's who he did it for and his message. Also to ensure his brothers fall in line. Even if he gets signed eventually, they made their point. I'm disgusted with this league and to those who make him out to be anything less than a real American patriot.
The thing he doesn't get is this isn't about race. It's about cash. Recent surveys proved many folks didn't tune into the NFL last year because of Kaep and his kneeling protest. Why would you sign that person? Why would you, a business owner, intentionally go sign a player that people actively avoid watching and supporting? That's not good business.

In the age of personal brands where LeBron, Jordan, and others are very cautious about what they say about anything because they don't want to hurt their brand, Kaep goes and does something very polarizing. He only has himself to blame for the results. (And while the MSM doesn't remind you, I will, he opted out of his deal in SF. He could still be playing this year.)

As Jordan once said, "Republicans buy shoes too."

In different news, coach Manziel?

Yeah, who wouldn't want a selfish prick of a human being with addiction and anger issues coaching your kids?

Fins coach delivers the bad news.
Quarterback Jay Cutler looked the "same" during his first day of practice with the Miami Dolphins, coach Adam Gase said Tuesday.

One set of preseason rankings
Redskins - #9 - Skeptical, here.
Steelers - #3 - Also skeptical.
Vikings - #17
Panthers - #20
Browns - #30

Giants - #2; Cowboys - #6... rough year in the NFC East.

I want the Panthers to be low like they are, because when discounted they tend to overachieve.

But if you put me to the test I think they are a top 10 team. We have a window right now with the age range of our players, we need to capitalize before it slips away.
