After losing Cordarrelle Patterson and Charles Johnson...
To the Raiders and Browns, respectively...
That's messed up, we had a losing year last season but we aren't the BROWNS.

Charles Johnson went to Carolina. To be the second Charles Johnson there.

Goddamnit. I was looking at his rookie year instead of who got him. Ah well, whatever. He wasn't doing shit for us.

There are rumors that the Steelers are something of a joke among free agents right now because of Tomlin.

He has zero respect around the league despite the MSM fawning over him.

Fuck.

Beast Mode returns?
Lynch, who turns 31 in April, hasn't played a down of pro football since the 2015 season. His multiple retirement confirmations over the last year kept him off the free agency radar for most until Friday, when ESPN reported Oakland is "strongly considering" either trading for the back who remains on the Seahawks' reserve/retired list or signing him as a potential free agent.

JPP gets paid.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the Giants have signed with their star pass-rusher to a four-year contract, per a source informed of the negotiations. The deal is for $62 million with a whopping $40 million guaranteed.

The contract also includes a $20 million signing bonus, and he'll earn $34 million within 11 months and $49.5 million over the first three years, Rapoport added. The contract ranks No. 2 among NFL defensive ends in highest average annual value, per NFL Research. Only teammate Olivier Vernon's $17 million per season salary bests Pierre-Paul's $15.5 million.
Big Ben Dover is ready to take it up the ass again for Tone Loc.
Roethlisberger said he's "leaning towards it" -- it being returning to play for Pittsburgh in 2017 -- when speaking at Liberty University on Friday, per the Observer-Reporter (Washington, Pennsylvania).
One really has to wonder why.

I kind of hoped he'd walk just so we're that much closer to getting rid of Tomlin.

But whatever, another season of losing to sub-500 teams and to New England.

Spike Lee thinks it's shady Kaep hasn't been signed yet.

Spike Lee is a racist idiot. It's not shocking that teams aren't lined up to sign a guy who was less than mediocre at best, and who was a massive distraction to his team.

Admittedly, in a world of QB desperation, Kaep should get some interest. Is he great? No. But he's better than what Cleveland put on the field last year.

But why would anyone sign him while Cutler is out there? Cutler is miles better and they have the same shit attitude.

Going further, why would Cleveland sign Kaep? They're trying to completely remake their culture. You don't do that by bringing in a cancer. Ditto for any team with a youth movement.

I expect Kaep will be signed during the season when someone's QB goes down.

Raiders have the votes to move to Vegas.

Joe Thomas explains why teams are avoiding Kaep. Much to Spike Lee's chagrin it has nothing to do with racism.

I think Joe's right on target.

I also think the people I've seen on facebook celebrating Kaep's unemployment and the "karma" involved are in for a rude awakening later this year. Passable NFL QBs are rare as hell. When teams start feeling the need - he's going to find a home. Far worst QBs (Tebow) have gotten more shots with less talent. Michael Vick got a redemption tour and he came straight from prison.

I also want to point out he's helped organize a relief plane to Somalia, donated his entire shoe collection to homeless people in the Bay Area, and donated a ton of money to various charities in the past year. Putting his money and time where his mouth is. I never liked the dude but he's not a bad human being, by any stretch of the imagination. If his silent protest is the worst he's going to do, I can learn to respect him.

I don't think he's a bad person either. Just a bit misguided. I also don't think he's a great QB, but is better than some of the bums out there.

I agree that he'll get picked up in season. When Ben goes down to his annual 3-4 week injury I wouldn't be shocked if the Steelers grabbed him.

Leaping expected to be banned on XP and field goals.

That's a game changer, but needed. Towards the end of the season it was almost comical how often defensive players could jump the line and get to the kicker.

I always felt like the other team was doing it, but nobody on our team could. From that aspect i'm super happy. I guess if we had someone who could do it I'd be pissed.

Seems the Browns scored 3 first-round draft picks busts this year. In other news, Teddy's throwing. Still no word if or when he returns.

I don't get your comment about the Browns. Did I miss some news?

The Giants think Geno Smith can be their QB of the future. Did they legalize weed in New York?

If you think Kaep not having a team yet is racist, remember that Cutler is still out there too.
