According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Cook will become the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era (since 1966) to start a playoff game without having a regular-season start on his résumé.
Texans... Raiders... whatever.
Honestly, this game does not matter. The winner gets to go lose to New England the following week, unless Miami upsets Pittsburgh, in which case they'll just go lose to Kansas City.
[Eric] Mangini also interviewed for the Raiders head coaching job recently, although there hasn’t been any indication that he has a strong chance of landing that position.
The Redskins have either interviewed or plan to interview Wade Phillips, Ed Donatell and Joe Barry for the defensive coordinator position.
I was thinking during Sunday night's game as a WR was playing RB for the Packers, "I wonder how all the out of work RBs must feel and how bad are they?"

GB hasn't had anyone close to a rusher since the days of Ahman Green. Even then, he was only 50% a runner.
The New York Giants may have exited the NFL playoffs, but that didn't stop offensive guard Justin Pugh from getting in a little trash talk toward the Dallas Cowboys.
"They're lucky that we didn't go beat the Green Bay Packers," Pugh said, per the New York Daily News' Ebenezer Samuel. "If we were going to come to Dallas, we were going to beat them (the Cowboys) a third time."
Says the wildcard loser. You ain't beating Dallas outside Tecmo Bowl this year, douche.
For the low low price of $50, you, too, can get a selfie with a "monster." For $99, you can get the autograph of a man who allegedly hit and threatened his ex-girlfriend almost exactly a year ago — and a man who may have violated his restraining order against that woman just a week ago.
Pay the price, and you, too, can get a few minutes with Johnny Manziel, the alleged domestic abuser who somehow still gets to be a celebrity all over again next month, during the week of Super Bowl LI in Houston.
Nobody wants to follow their team to Vegas and get murdered in the stands. Everybody would follow their team to San Diego for a vacation. Ditto for Vegas.
Interesting. Guess we'll see how much of that was McVay and how much is Gruden.

I went to to the Oakland/Carolina game in Oakland this year. Great fan turnout, OAK had an actual NFL quality QB (back then), and legitimately passionate fans. Plus the 49ers are so bad right now. It was a great trip. I can hardly believe they would move the team to Vegas, of all places.
We caught some flack, but it wasn't anything I don't get on the streets in the Mission as a white dude anyway. Plus Panthers/Raiders have like 3 total games of history over 20sih years or whatever, no grudges to be found. Cat managed to not get in a fight, which she always struggled to do in ATL.
