Somehow snuck into 5th place (12 team league), and my reward is to play the 3rd best team, who got the 4th seed, due to being 2nd best in an division. The other division winner (and now 3 seed) has outscored me by about 50 points. The guy I'm play has outscored me by 300.

Bill Moody @CouncilmanMoody
Colin Kaepernick is proving to be much better at kneeling than playing QB. He became first NFL QB in history to throw for fewer than 5 yards
Zing!

He was also sacked 5 times. Ouch.

AP not coming back this year.
He appears to be targeting the December 24 game against the Packers as a possible return date, but added that it would be “pointless” to play in that game or their Week 17 matchup with the Bears if the Vikings are already out of playoff contention.

KC just made Oakland look bad. Going to be rough watching them lose to NE again.

Still better than Fisher.
“I think Romo is going to get his opportunity,” Jones told the New York Daily News in an interview Thursday. “I don’t want it to happen. But I think he may get his opportunity to get us a Super Bowl.”

Let's make it happen.
At 0-12, the Browns are as bad as you can be in the NFL. At 13-0, Alabama is as good as you can be in college football. So, some folks have wondered which team would win if they were to meet on the field: the winless NFL team, or the undefeated college football team?

Bleacher Report even ran a simulation ... and Alabama won.

Ditto.

Lots of reports that despite the new deal Fisher is a dead man walking in LA.

Luke the Kuech still out. Three in a row now.
The Panthers announced today that Kuechly, who returned to practice this week, still hasn’t been given the medical go-ahead to play.
He might have Jahvid Best syndrome and be permanently gone.

Who have the Browns targeted with the #1 pick?

I've got to admit, I like going trenches over a QB in a weak QB class.

However, is New England really going to give up Jimmy? If they do, you're going to pay a ton. And if they do, isn't that a bad sign? Tom Brady will be 40 years old when the NFL kicks off next season. If New England is willing to part with a young QB who seems to be the heir apparent, then isn't that a clear sign that he isn't?

The Browns have what one source close to the situation described as an "astronomical grade" on Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, a blue-chip prospect who could dramatically upgrade Cleveland's defense.
I wonder which homeless guy told the Browns about that Myles. This is also setting the stage for a season-ending injury during preseason in week 1.
The Browns could also look to address the quarterback position through a trade, as some believe they will make a run at New England Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo after the season.
Utter stupidity.

Someone needs to put the brakes on all the action in the Vikings-Jaguars game. The excitement of watching field goal after field goal is simply too much. 9-9 at the half. I feel like I'm watching fucking soccer.

Bradford: 10/14 for 160-something yards and jack shit. Then there's our 18 rushing yards on 12 attempts, 10 by actual RBs. Fortunately Blake Bortles is about as impressive as a subway rat exhibit at a NYC zoo, so we're not out of it yet.

What a shock. Another field goal. I think I've figured out the Shurmur offensive plan:

1) Throw it to Kyle Rudolph
2) Throw it to Adam Thielen
3) Ask the AI from Madden NFL 17
4) Kick more field goals

Damn. They won. In other news, Lev Bell and the Pittsburgh O-line almost singlehandedly defeat Buffalo.

In the catt league:
Bye week in the loser bracket. Good thing because I overslept and didn't yank Riddick.

Pussy league:
Not a bye week in the loser bracket and I also started Riddick. However, it looks I'm going to win like even shorthanded.

Me:
Aaron Rodgers is schooling Seattle and Davante Adams got loose for a TD, so double points there. DM had a solid game for the Titans. Unfortunately, that's about all that's gone right for me. Tyrell Williams and Ryan Mathews had below average games, although Ryan is now the only healthy RB in Philly (knock on wood).

Opponent:
Has Danger Russ at QB, who's thrown 4 picks already and has a QB rating in the 20s and is ringing it up at -1.7 points currently. Mark Ingram is striking out in TB. His only real points have come from decent games from his TE, K, and D/ST.

My season comes down to the Patriots D versus the Ravens. If the Pats D score more than 8 points, I'm sunk. If they score 7 or fewer, I score the improbable upset.

Dunno what happens in a tie.
