Holy Christ. Chris Ponder is making me remember the days of T-Jack with fondness now. Holy fuck. Five completed passes through 3 quarters. Zero of those passes are to WRs playing Green Bay's D.

Tomorrow night: Giants vs Skins, i have Bradshaw and Morris - Who gets the start?

Down by 13 with the Cowboys D and Larry Tynes against Romo. He pretty much needs to get injured in the first half for me to win. Good news is that the dude who was 3rd overall is probably going to lose as well and I get to keep my bye week.

Trick question: Apparently I should have just started Bryce Brown instead of either one. Damn.

Soon as McCoy gets back, Brown's gone again. That fumble he gave up didn't help.

Speaking of Eagles who aren't playing this season. Here's hoping that Vick's career is finally over and I can stop reading/listening to/hearing about him.

Bob Costas goes batshit insane on SNF.
He was quoting this equally batshit insane dude.
He quoted extensively from a piece by Fox Sports columnist Jason Whitlock, who wrote that “our current gun culture simply ensures that more and more domestic disputes will end in the ultimate tragedy" and concluded that “if Jovan Belcher didn't possess a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today.''
Go fuck yourself, Bob. I don't tune in to be preached to, you grandstanding, opportunistic asshole, and go fuck yourself, Jason, you delusional, statistically ignorant dipshit.

Because Javon didn't own knives or have the ability to beat her to death?
I used to have a lot of respect for Costas...no more.

I really wish history from the Dark Ages survived so we'd have a shitload of public proclamations condemning crossbows or something.
Things that annually kill more people than guns (9 - 10K U.S. folk per year)
1) automobiles at ~30K per year
2) prescription drugs (~35 - 40K per year)
3) booze (over 70K per year, but some crossover with traffic deaths) ... better outlaw that shit right away because you can always put down a gun at a second's notice whereas immediately ceasing to be drunk is a bit more difficult
Start talking about reforming that shit before you get near firearms. Gun owners, I'd wager most of them aren't shooting on a daily basis. Most drivers drive damn near every day, most drug users use drugs damn near every day. I sometimes wonder if people realize violence predates TV and firearms.

Had a feeling y'all would be talking about this.
My first thought when I heard of this was.... I wonder if Costas wasn't supporting and glorifying a support with a proven record of destroying mens bodies and brains, if those 2 would still be alive.

Yeah, they've got a couple former NFL players who committed suicide who also tested positive for some neurological disease linked to increase chances for suicide. That disease comes from repeated head trauma. What a fucking coincidence. Then again, this is also the same league that lets convicted felons and murderers keep playing.
Also, if more guns equals more death, then these two lists should have the same ordering.
EDIT: If you take away all the gun-related suicide deaths (people shooting themselves instead of others), you more than halve the gun-related deaths in the U.S. The 9 countries that have fewer firearms per capita than the U.S. have a HUGE lead in terms of gun-related homicides. I'd like to note that all 9 are in Central or South America.

Gun debates aside...
Sanchez, Tebow, or McElroy? Shit, Vinny Testeverde or Chad Pennington almost sound like a better options.

Go Manning/Garcon/Morris - Beat Nicks! Just need them to keep their 16 pt lead.
And Redskins, go too.

Redskins! RG! WOoooooOOoo! WE MAY NOT BE LAST IN OUR DIVISION THIS YEAR!!!!
And my fantasy team won last 3 games, to finish 7-6, 6th seed in the playoffs, and will play the other 7-6 team, who won their division.

Finished 1st in div, 2nd overall. Got a first round bye. Will play #3 or #6 in in the semi-final.

Both my teams sucked. If you were a player I drafted, you either had a career bad year or you got hurt. Sorry Ben, Maurice, Antonio, Willis, etc.
In different news, Bob Costas backed off his statement about gun control...kinda.
Jason Whitlock, the writer Costas mentioned as the inspiration for his remarks, wrote the piece, and here's how it ends:
Whitlock and Costas have gotten together on this podcast to share their insights about the myriad issues related to this tragedy.
We invite you to listen, and learn.
The fucking arrogance is amazing. I used to not mind Whitlock, but that reeks of "I'm right and you're wrong", which wouldn't be horrible if it wasn't for the fact that every single example in human history says he's wrong.

Ray Rice's lightened workload is going to suck. Hopefully Alex Green steps up, because he and Rice's handcuff are the only other RB options I got.
