I know one thing about fantasy football this year... No way am I drafting Tony Romo!

Dude got folded up like an accordion last night on the third play of the game. If there's one thing that for sure in football, it's Tony Romo will get hurt. Its only a matter of time till Dak Prescott gets put in, he might be a hidden gem.

I have no idea which one that is... I have a lot of email addresses and have been looking through the most likely ones, but I'm not seeing anything. Maybe there's no room for me this year? No worries.

Well, the GM just now asked everyone about objections to Malcolm. They don't know him, so I'm guessing they are OK for now.

Ha!

If they end up needing another IM me because it's likely I'd miss the email.

Next day: Romo's FINE!

Today: Yet another broken back, out 6-10 weeks, should just retire

Weird, the lead-in to that link
Source: Romo has fracture, may sit 6-10 weeks
Actual article text
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has suffered a broken bone in his back, but coach Jason Garrett said the injury would not cost Romo the season.

Garrett announced Romo's injury on a conference call Saturday, two days after he was knocked out of a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks after three plays in the first quarter. Romo had an MRI on Friday, and the results were learned later that night.

Garrett would not give a timetable on a possible return but declined to rule out the quarterback for the regular-season opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 11.

I don't recall, I think it's an ordered draft, worst team first each round.
Got around to answering the commish's email. Wonder which team I'll get. It's either near top draft picks or near top team. Either is kind of interesting.
It looks like I got the defending champ team. On the flip side I don't think I've done IDP yet, so we'll see how long it takes me to get comfy with those stats.

At the end of the day, you mostly use defenders as weekly pickups, particularly once the byes happen.

Going to work on keepers tonight and read up on the rules. Also need to prep for both drafts.
Garrett would not give a timetable on a possible return but declined to rule out the quarterback for the regular-season opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 11.
Also, perhaps Jason should hang up his medical career and focus on coaching a mediocre football team.
Rapoport noted that Romo "broke a different bone" than in 2014, when he suffered two fractures in his transverse process, and would "likely need an epidural to play." The hope is that Romo will return after the bye for his team's Week 8 showdown with the Eagles, with Garrett saying: "We're confident that he's going to be coming back and playing football for us this year."
It's always a good sign when you're playing in a level of pain requiring a procedure usually associated with childbirth.

Kaepernick is a fucking moron.

What a protest: A minority getting paid millions to play a game instead of work for a living is refusing to stand for the national anthem until "the oppression of blacks and people of color ends".

This might be one of the stupidest protests in the history of mankind.

"You have Hillary [Clinton], who has called black teens or black kids superpredators," Kaepernick said. "You have Donald Trump, who is openly racist. We have a presidential candidate [Clinton] who has deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn't make sense to me. If that was any other person, you'd be in prison. So what is this country really standing for?"

I don't disagree that he's a moron, but I don't really have a problem with his protest either.

He can protest however he wants. I'm just pointing out the massive flaws in his logic.

Not to mention that his protest is turning more people against him then getting them onboard. AND distracting folks from the presidential race he's protesting.

I know that Colin has said its not about the military whatsoever. But to me, standing up for the flag is the least you can do for our military personnel. What else can you do for the military? Most people don't do shit, and many can't, you just say thanks to our vets and you STAND FOR THE NATIONAL ANTHEM!

I think Colin could do other things to try and raise awareness for this supposed oppression instead of coping out and just making a "stand" without actually doing anything about it. To me its just a pussy way of saying something without bringing any solutions to the table, all while completely disrespecting those who give you that right to protest.

Are you shitting me? How about donating $10 to one of the zillions of charities that helps them instead?

Because if you sit, it doesn't count? Uncle Sam up in American Valhalla is going to get pissed at me?

While I have no fucking idea what the second- or third-best QB in San Francisco thinks about ... well, anything, I don't consider this disrespect in the least. The people who died to found this country did so on the belief that no one has the god-given right to tell you what the fuck to do, including sitting or standing for certain pieces of music.

On a sidenote, who wants to bet that Kaep's most frequently called audible this year is going to be, "Hey Blaine, can I get you another cup of gatorade?"

I don't think it's a logic flaw either. The notion that one person who is not oppressed cannot raise awareness of people who are oppressed is insane.

I honestly never associated standing for the flag with saluting our military. Is it? I thought it was saluting our country, the best damned country on Earth.

That's cool.. I'm sure you are sending your $10 to some military fund. I'm also sure you're thanking all the vets and current military members you see on a daily basis for all the rights that have been giving to a self righteous prick like you.

Its called having respect for those that did give you these things, and people like you that give total disregard to that are just more a part of the problem than the solution. But you are the last person I'd ever expect to give anyone respect, all the filth that spills out of your shit hole.
