All the house keepers and gardeners were deported?

I laughed Cake. There's also a nugget of truth there. I've seen lots of videos on X of construction companies and plants being shut down because illegals were deported.

Also possibly related:
-I've seen claims the "AIpocalypse" has already begun. Jobs lost due to AI (in case that looked like a lower case L). And this was before the above jobs report.
-I've also seen business folks discussing that corporations may be waking up and realizing the many layers of middle management they have are unnecessary, and worse, negatively affecting the company. Which is exactly what was said in MS' announced cut of 9k jobs.
-Tons of layoffs going on in gaming right now too after audiences pushed back against woke horseshit. Lots of titles being cancelled, studios being closed, etc. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 isn't just GoTY. It's making the whole industry re-examine everything. It's making gobs of money and had an internal staff of 30. Go look at all the AAA titles that have spectacularly bombed in the past few years with teams of hundreds and thousands. (This is also happening in Hollywood, but not to the same extent yet.)

Not saying government is without blame, but it would be silly to think the "record profit every quarter or we punish you" Wall St system has nothing to do with this. Using MS as an example again, they're making record profits, yet laying off 9K. We see this sort of thing all the time.

I'm genuinely very curious to see how the world's economies start to adjust when most people are unemployed due to AI. Companies will rush to save money by reducing headcount with AI, but who will be the market for their products at that point?

This shit's got to end too:

AI isn't good enough yet to replace much, but it's growing. Right now it's mostly an adder or simple problem solver. My dev team is more efficient with it than without it, but it's not yet a huge change.

I know my company has gone from no AI to multiple uses of AI just this year. So far, yeah, it's in line with what you said, but we all know what's coming. Do we trust any single person in government to be planning ahead for this? Or any corporations to be socially conscious enough to warn about how AI could destroy the economy before our out of control debt ever does?

Although, this should all be in the AI thread.

Back to Trump...

The "big beautiful bill" is shit. The fact that it continues the "stuff as much shit into one bill as possible" and how it was promised such tactics would end aside, raising the debt ceiling alone is enough for me to call it shit. How can the government tell its people to be fiscally responsible when it isn't? Both parties continue to spend money like an 18 year old with their first credit card and we're the ones footing the bill. Assholes.

Now giving credit where it's due, Trump may legit get the Nobel Peace Prize. Iran-Israel, India-Pakistan, Rwanda-DR Congo, ending the Houthi attacks (both with force and then negotiations), and...is that it so far? If his administration actually gets the Russia-Ukraine shit to end his nomination would be undeniable.

One's much worse than the other.

And that's the bar. Yay.

We'll go far with that logic.

League of Legends mentality. As long as someone is doing worse than you are, you are allowed to think you are awesome.

All of the predictions of doom, etc, and "because your guy is worse than mine" is still said. AI isn't going to destroy the world. Not holding the people in charge to a higher standard is. Continuing to allow fucking idiots to run things based on "he's not as bad as your guy" is going to bring us down. Some future civilization will dig through the ruins saying "the talent and the people were there, why the hell did they put these people in charge of it? What the he'll were they thinking?"

AI will win because it will pick the best option. Not the least worst option.
Human1: Here's a list of a million options. Do we pick the best one?
Human2: No. Of course not. Pick the second worst one. Because it's not as bad as the worst one.

The country added 147,000 jobs in June, the Labor Department reported Thursday, above the gain of 110,000 jobs economists polled by The Wall Street Journal had expected.

The unemployment rate fell to 4.1% from 4.2%.

Revisions showed that hiring was stronger in prior months than previously thought. The number of jobs added in April and May was a combined 16,000 higher than prior estimates. Job growth was heavily concentrated in state and local government and in healthcare.

It's because they're all in it together, and the fact that the MSM isn't asking about it on a daily basis says everything about them as well.

Tonight the Trump administration announced they are pushing forward and will possibly be releasing the Epstein client list.

Maybe someone's check didn't clear?

"Reviewing the possibility of release."

That alone suggest Pam Bondi just lied when she said there's no list.

Again, it's blatantly obvious to the entire world that there's a cover up going on and it's because there are rich and powerful people on the list. They have to think people are monumentally stupid or are just unable/unwilling to do anything.

If someone really want to make a name for themselves, that's the list to get via hacking. You'd be world famous overnight. You'd have to prove it though, like releasing ALL the files, not just a screenshot of a list.

As far as I know, there is no "list" per se. There's documentation about contacts, meetings, etc. Which isn't "this guy's a pedo," proof. There were rumours of videos, but nothing was even substantiated, afaik.

Now, it's possible the video system does new clips every X hours, so it had to be stitched, but....

If nothing can be proven, no harm in publishing the list of visitors to the island. That list MUST exist per FAA rules.

I'm a fan of releasing all the documents.

Good news! They exist!
