Why did they even pick him up?
I imagine the same reason the Eagles picked up Vick. It's nice to have a backup that's actually played a real NFL game or had a starting stint, no matter how brief. He came cheap from a motivated buyer, and he looked better than some new kid they could draft or some old dude they could pick up on waivers or trade for.
And how did Houston's D outplay Chicago's.
That's something I've been trying to figure. They only outplayed them slightly, and I'd argue a non-concussed Jay Cutler means a Chicago win. Chicago only got two turnovers (both Matt Schaub INTs) and neither were fumbles. Also, it's not that hard to look good against Jason Campbell. The Texans still put up an impressive D, though, and managed to crack 100+ rushing yards (while passing for only 95).

With my fantasy seasons past midway...
League A: First in div and sitting pretty for the forseeable future. One solid wideout, one slightly flaky. Kick-ass TE. Two serviceable QBs. Two solid, reliable, not splitting carries RBs. Two RBs plus one WR I can rotate in and out of flex. In spite of perhaps jinxing myself, I've avoided any huge injuries to key dudes.
League B: Fucked.

Steelers look kind of fucked without Big Ben.

What, 4 QBs lost for at least a game this weekend?

I had forgotten how bad giant Gary Coleman's throwing motion was...

It's almost like having multiple 250+ pound freaks of nature who can also run 4.5s rip towards you with the combined force of a small automobile might be hazardous to your health, safety equipment be damned.

Von Miller rocked Newton so many times, it might as well count as 5.

If Carolina ever got a team, they might win some games.

So... last week I traded away my #2 QB figuring I could get by with my #3 (Andrew Luck) if my #1 (Vick) got hurt.
I was starting to feel pretty dumb about my trade until this morning. My #2 had been Ben Rothlisberger.

Yeah. He and Flacco have been alternating starts. Looks like Joe's in for a bit. Fuck.

I have a choice between two fucked up QBs this week...
1) Joe Flacco at Pittsburgh
2) Nick Foles at Washington
Flacco killed the Steelers last year and had a decent week previous to this one. Given his consistency, he'll probably suck this week. On the other hand, the other's a dude making his first NFL start. I'm actually very up in the air on this one. Thoughts?

Gah. I'd go with Foles, cuz Washington's D is that bad.

You're 3-6 and your team has no sense of cohesion or glimmer of hope of salvaging this season. Sanchez has to have what, two or three games max where he sucks before you figure the Jets really have nothing to lose.

Andre Roberts at Atlanta or Michael Crabtree going against Chicago?

Andre roberts

I really wish Andre didn't have the early game. It just feels weird putting in Arizona's #2 over SF's #1. I am very curious to see what Mark Ingram and Pierre Thomas do to justify their existence while Chris Ivory has two weeks of doing twice as much as both of them on half the carries.

Goddamnit, Foles. 50% completion ratio to the other team is not good.
EDIT: Another one? Are you shitting me? Foles and LaRod Stephens-Howling may cancel each other out at this point. This is the game between me and the second place dude in my div. I'm half a game up on him. He already forgot to start a D and Reggie Bush sucked Thursday, so he's in a slightly worse hole than I am. Will definitely need the second wave of players to put up decent games unless Foles can come back from the dead.
