Last time he failed for having alcohol on private plane on a flight from Vegas. Shit, that could happen accidentally. This time he got nailed for bud. You GOT to know that test is coming up and you're on the line for six figures if you stay clean.

WOW! HUGE trade for the #1 pick by the LA RAMS!
Hearing its for Carson Wentz. Good lord...

The Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams agreed to terms on a trade that would see Tennessee trade the number one overall pick, along with their fourth round (113 overall) and sixth round (177 overall) picks this year to the Rams, in exchange for the Rams first round pick (15), two second round (43 and 45) selections and third round (76) pick in 2016; along with the Rams first round pick and third round picks in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Titans now own nine selections in the 2016 Draft, including six of the top 76 picks in the draft.

For Wentz? That doesn't make any sense. Did you hear that from Cleveland radio because ESPN articles and Cowherd have been saying Cleveland wanted Goff, so why move to #1 and pay more when they could just move to #3? If that's from a Cleveland source, I have to think there's some wishful thinking there...maybe?Stranger wrote:WOW! HUGE trade for the #1 pick by the LA RAMS!

Here's why I think it's for Goff:
-Wentz's stock has been dropping lately and he was already the #2 QB according to "experts". Lots of questions about him. (He played indoors, he missed a few starts and his team won anyway, he had bad starts and his team won anyway, his team is the Alabama of that division of football so their success isn't about him, etc.)
-Goff is the only QB that everyone agrees is a "start now" guy.
-Goff plays for Cal, the Rams are now in LA. He's home town and they needed to make a splash. Does a guy from North Dakota fill a stadium in LA?
-Everyone knows the Titans weren't taking a QB.
-The "experts" claimed Cleveland's pick was Goff and they pick #2.
-Cleveland made it clear yesterday they would trade the #2 pick, a move them seemed to be strategy after the rumor the day before being that Tennessee was trading the #1 pick. It makes sense. If you think someone is moving ahead of you to take who you want, claim you'll trade. It's a bluff to make it seem like maybe you're not that interested in that player and it drives up the price for that #1 pick because now the #2 is available for competing teams. So you essentially stick it to whoever is about to fuck you out of who you wanted to draft.
Why would the Rams move to #1 for Wentz when they could get him at #3 or later IF Cleveland's guy was Goff like everyone thinks.
Either way, it's a hell of a price to pay. Feels like Draft Day in real life.

Yes, I did hear it on Cleveland radio, but they were getting their info from Rams reports so take it for what it is..
But I must say, the national perspective has the Browns linked with Wentz. Look at all the mock drafts, Kiper, Mcshay and many others I've seen all have the Browns taking Wentz. So by your reasoning if the Rams think the same way the national media is then why wouldn't they get in front of the Browns and take Wentz?
Now locally, the Cleveland beat writers and radio personalities all say that Hugh Jackson and the Browns like Goff better. So why does the national perspective differ so much?
Whatever the Rams decide to do its a good position for the Browns. The market has been set and if a team wants to get the other QB they will have to pay handsomely. Its kinda like your neighbors house just sold for $100,000 more than its worth and yours is the only other one up for sale, the price just got driven up.

Johnny Manziel has taken the first step toward getting back to the NFL, hiring super agent Drew Rosenhaus, according to reports on Saturday.
"What I've said to Johnny is that if he gets help and he gets treatment, if he does that within the five days, then I'll continue to represent him," Rosenhaus said. "If he does not do that then, unfortunately, he's going to have to find another agent.... Right now, I believe for him to have a chance, to have a successful life -- forget football for a moment, just to have a successful life -- I think it's imperative that he get help."

Re: NFL
The Cleveland trade talks tells me a few things.
First, I think this has legs. Talks in Cleveland are they will trade with Philly and go to 8. In return they will get a 3rd this year and 1st and 3rd next year.
Second, It tells me that they know the Rams will pick Goff and that's their guy and they don't think that highly of Wentz. Or maybe they don't think either of them are head and shoulders above the rest of the QBs available... Lynch, Cook, Cardale...
Third, and probably the most likely now that I think of it... They must REALLY like RG3. I'm now convinced that they are all in on RG3 for at least two years.
So this regime knows they have a TON of holes to fill and they want to build through the draft. What better way to do that then to obtain draft picks. The only thing is they can't blow them this time!!!!
I give the Cleveland trade a 75% chance that it will happen.

Re: NFL
I had the same thought when I heard about it. It also matches what I said weeks ago about the smart thing being to trade the pick, and draft Cardale later and develop him. I mean, why sign RG3 if you MUST go get a franchise QB still? They must REALLY like RG3. I'm now convinced that they are all in on RG3 for at least two years.
Nobody expects them to win a Super Bowl this year, just signs of growth. They have time to be patient...or they should. This regime will prove if Haslam is a good owner or not by how quickly he pulls the trigger on them.
