Depends on the game. Some are just better with a gamepad, like Super Mario Brothers type stuff or Journey.

I've played Super Mario on the TV using keyboard. It feels weird to the muscle memory at first. It feels way, way better on the thumbs, though.

For a single gamer this streaming thing is cool.

For family sharing, it's the opposite of a solution. I'm honestly not really sure what is in place to stop my wife from logging into Steam and fucking with my controls while playing a game. On top of that, I might not even be in Steam and if she launches it, I can't do anything else on my PC, which is running the installed games.

I guess streaming is a lot like the Wii u gamepad, if you are playing on the game pad. Wii is ahead of its time!

PC Gamer essentially calls out Valve for poor quality standards.

I agree.

Steam is filled with awesome games, including some that deserve to be a part of Early Access.

However, there's some complete shit out there too.

Why are we all on the pink team?

AND WHY ISN'T PINK WINNING?

Gordon, Stranger, and Malcolm appear to be missing from the adventure.

If you click on the Summer Adventure, there's a big text blob describing it.
Craft badges
Collect all 10 Summer Adventure trading cards to craft the badge.

You can get trading cards in a few ways: as a reward for purchasing from the Steam Store (1 card per $10 USD or equivalent), crafting game badges, voting in the Community’s Choice sale (1 card per 3 votes), by trading, or by purchasing them in the Community Market. Read more specifics in the FAQ.
Earn rewards and points
Crafting the Summer Adventure Badge gets you:

1 in-game item (or 5 for the foil badge)
1 emoticon
1 profile background
a chance at a Team Token
10 points (or 100 for the foil badge)To earn more points you can keep crafting the badge during the sale.

Summer Adventure Badge - 10 points
Summer Adventure Foil Badge - 100 points
any other game badge - 1 point
any foil game badge - 10 points
Each day 1 team wins
Everyone is randomly assigned to a team when they click the "Join a Team" button above or when they craft a badge. Your points count toward your team’s daily total.

Each day the team with the most points wins. 30 members of that team who contributed points that day will win 3 games off their Wishlist. Make sure to update your Wishlist.Anyone who contributed points to that win will get 2 bonus Summer Sale trading cards. Everyone else who contributed points that day will get 1 bonus card.

The points are totaled and a new day begins at 10am PDT.

My wife's account is on purple, but didn't sign up for the adventure until I just now remembered that she had an account.

Hmmm... buying games does help, but I'm level 11, and that wasn't just from buying, I don't think.

You can gain some # of levels just by doing various things. Like making a post, or hosting an image, etc. Years of being a member helps too.

Actually, I am level 8. But still didn't get my card. Double fuckers. I have 7 years of service, but I'm level 8. Was still farming the Pillar achievement to get another level. So, someone post a screenshot so I can comment on it. I posted one too. I think. It's a Rust shot.
