So why is it when my left is to the enemy, and I take hits, it is the right arm, leg, and torso that take damage? Even the voice says so.

That's an interesting question. Is that for real? Which mech?
I know for a fact the correct side takes hits and is announced when I'm piloting my Centurions because that mech uses it's left arm as a shield. So I do a lot of "fire, turn to the right to absorb damage, repeat".

Happened just now, and as far as I know it happens in every mech I use. My left was to the enemy, I was hunkered down, and they dismantled my right side one bit at a time. Happens all the time.

And it does suck because on my Thunderbolt both my PPCs are on the right side, so I instinctively try to keep the left to the enemy, but that's, like, backwards in the game.

Could have been from LRMs. If someone doesn't have artemis equipped and are shooting an LRM 20 the spread is ridiculous and pretty much hits all points of the mech.
Either that or you didn't see that Jagermech with dual Guass cannons plunking you from 800 meters. Prolly this, cause ive never had that problem either

Yeah, I have seen similar "you just don't know what you are seeing" responses on the forums.... but some people are calling it the "opposite damage cheat," and recommend reporting people for using it.

I think you're making a conclusion about some random guy making a conclusion.
Not saying cheats don't exist, but I have learned that a lot of things in game that immediately piss someone off can usually be explained.
Instead of the list at the end telling me all the things that delivered damage, I think it'd be more helpful to show where the killing blow was delivered and what caused it. Was it an alpha strike to your back? Did they hit an area that was without armor?
Work definitely needs to be done to that summary screen.
Keep an eye on the damage/side thing though. I'm really curious about that. I will say that Stranger is right about the missiles. I can remember times getting hit by LRMs and seeing damage on my back and thinking "WTF?"

Is it possible to do a private match and have you guys shoot me in the arm over and over? It isn't like this just happened to me once, it happens all the time. Nearly every game. I just haven't mentioned it until now.

Listening to the NGNG podcast that covered the recent town hall meeting with the head of PGI. Here are some highlights:
(I'll update as I get further into it.)
- MW:O might come to Steam this year.
- Expect minor and major fixes/adjustments for the Invasion maps.
- Feb 3rd is the target date for a third Invasion map (Based on Canyon Network.)
- There is a fourth in the works. (Based on Tourmalin.)
- Defender drop ships have 6-7 medium lasers on them and will only fire upon people in their range (200 something) and they can hit for maximum damage. They will hit multiple targets, which would spread the damage out.
- Attacker drop ships now have all ER large lasers and have the same rules as the defender medium lasers except with more range and damage. The point is back off and don't camp the spawn.
- He has a wishlist "landing" mode that would launch invasions. Basically, it'd be a skirmish 12 on 12. The mode would start with the defenders seeking cover as a dropship would fly in and all 12 attackers would drop at once. (They need to seek cover because the dropships do shoot.) If the skirmish is successful, they've established a beachhead and the invasion can progress.
-The goal is for CW to come out of beta this summer.
- He is 50/50 on a reset once beta ends. NOT a reset of everything, just progress made in CW. In other words, planets reverting back to their original owners. He wants to hear from the community about it.

Good job!
What are you going for next? For your play style I'd recommend an assault. You can either be a long range assault with missiles and large lasers or you can try and tank/brawl, which is desperately needed during those invasion maps.
Lights and Mediums will be more about hitting and moving, but you'll need to have them for the ideal drop ship loadout.

Yeah, I was thinking about an assault.
I need to build up my lone Jenner so I can drop with a heavy-heavy-heavy-light, but yeah, I was thinking an assault mech would suit my current play style.

If you go with an assault I'd recommend either the 85 ton Stalker, the 4N or Misery (hero) are the best or the 95 ton Banshee 3E. Both tank like a boss and are very solid all around mechs. The only problem with the assaults are that they limit you in your CW dropship weights. But everyone needs one.
