Today they introduced a controller with no sticks.

I'm intrigued. I'm tired of how expensive consoles are. I love PCs, and own lots of Steam games. Making them easier to play on my PC would be a plus, especially if said PC could stream my media and do all the other things I want.

Yeah, so far nothing they have released has caused me to say, "No, that won't work."

Someone hacked Valve or something to that effect.

Long story short, within are project crew listings, and apparently, there's both a HL3 crew and a L4D3 crew.

Been a long time since Valve released anything new...

Noticed Valve started the process of getting the HL3 trademark going in Europe.

Bioshock 2 leaving Games for Windows Live in favor of Steamworks.

Apparently, this is becoming a trend as other franchises are looking to do the same thing.

GFWL was a huge fuck you to gamers by Microsoft (along with Halo), so I take some joy in this news.

Steam box controller.

That's nice...

Can I just use my mouse and keyboard?

It um... looks like a sideways desktop computer.

And the control pad looks like it came from one of those knock-off PS2s.

not that i'm being critical

So basically.... it looks like most desktop computers made prior to 1995 before towers came into fashion....

The dates listed for the two upcoming sales are listed on the email as 27 November – 3 December (for the autumn/Thanksgiving sale) and 19 December – 2 January (for the winter/Christmas one.) Those are periods you could probably have roughly predicted if you’re a dedicated Steam sale watcher.

I hate it when places that are not Steam sell games. For some reason, I only want to buy from Steam. Or games that activate on Steam.

Winter sale in 2 days. Update your wishlists, people.

You can register a lot of your non-Steam bought games through Steam. For example, I have LoL registered in Steam.

I plugged in Homeworld to play through Steam a while back, but it isn't like it downloaded patches or anything for me.

That I recall.

If it's available on Steam it will.

Sale has begun, please contribute opinions on games worth buying if you have them. I'm winning $250 in a weightloss competition tomorrow, so I have a bit of free money to blow.

Bioshock Infinite is 75% off today. That's a good one. Haven't tried the multiplayer, though.
