Never said it was. Just sharing a story about a similar device that was also dropped into water.
And as Catt points out, it is also an MP3 player. In fact, it's the only one I use currently.

I use an iPod Touch, which is in theory in the dedicated MP3 player family even though it's capable of other stuff.
But only because I like the way it handles playlists and ratings much better than my Android tablet does. If I could get that stuff to work right on there I'd be happy to reduce my device count by one.

I have an iPod Touch too, but I don't like the way it handles music.
I listen to a lot of podcasts and get distracted so I miss parts, so I rewind and relisten to bits. That is much easier to do on on my iPod Nano.
I like how everything is all organized with iTunes, which keeps me from using my Droid as an MP3 player unless I'm desperate.

Google Music will direct import from iTunes and stick your stuff in the cloud, and stream to your Droid. So you can manage with iTunes and sync automatically to GM.
You can also mark music for offline use in GM when you're out of data range/etc.

Gah! Just the thought of using iTunes makes me hurt. That piece of crap terrorized my computer for far too long already.
No, if you're using an Apple product for podcasts, I recommend Media Monkey. It even does all the fancy smart playlist stuff, even some stuff iTunes won't, if you get into the nitty gritty of setting them up like I do. I have dozens of smart playlists that I use to funnel my podcasts into three carefully programmed sets of perfection. iTunes would have puked if I'd tried to do all this in there.
