The guys in Clevland and DC should get together and rename both teams at the same time. To the Clevland Redskins and the Washington Indians. Just to be dicks about it.

The local TV stations replay the games here in a condensed format. They only show the bits of the game where shit happens. Takes 90 minutes with commercials.

Theory inspired by my research of the Cleveland Indians for refuting Stranger's bullshit "Indians > Twins" argument...

Years the Indians have won the world series: 1948, 1920. Hypothesis: Cleveland can only win the World Series within 1-5 years of a World War ending.

I guarantee you that we can find Cleveland fans willing to start a World War just to test that theory.

Teams with a shot at postseason with their payroll ranking (out of 30):

Baltimore : 15th ... $107,406,623
Detroit : 5th ... $162,228,527
KC : 19th ... $92,034,345
LA Angels : 6th ... $155,692,000
Oakland : 25th ... $83,401,400

Washington : 9th ... $134,704,437
St. Louis : 13th ... $111,020,360
Pittsburgh : 27th ... $78,111,667 (teams 28-30 finished in second to last in their divs)
LA Dodgers : 1st ... $235,295,219
San Fran : 7th ... $154,185,878

Of the top ten for payroll, fully half missed the postseason. On the flip side, there are only 3 teams from the bottom 50%.

Of all sports, baseball is the one I would be most likely to pause on while channel surfing.

I used to love playing in little league. Even won a game against an undefeated team once while I was up to bat.

...

Hockey would be a close second, but I could never, ever figure out the offsides rule.
