I don't think that counts. If he had been airborne when he bumped it when out of bounds, it would not have been out of bounds and they would have caught the red team unaware in their huddle. As it is... it looks like it is out of bounds and red ball.

Out of bounds doesn't work that way in volleyball. Out of bounds only applies to where the ball lands, as long as it is in the air, you can hit it wherever.
