He's just copying Ohio

This could be the impetus that gets us trying "Minimum Guaranteed Income" (or whatever it's called) nationally. If 30% of people are going to be unemployed in a month, there's going to be some serious problems if no one has any money to spend.

Also, he's guessing 5 more months of virus.

That's all over the Twitters.

SNL shut down.

In an election year, which has to kill them.

My wife is complaining that all the Bravo shows have stopped production. Ha!

I'm now working from home every other day. Tomorrow from home, back Wednesday, home Thursday, and so on. Waiting for Ohio to get completely locked down like Europe.

West Virginia still doesn't have cases.

At this point, I'm thinking it's actually embarrassing for them. How meaningless is your state that a pandemic has no effect on it?

There are... 4? 5? major hospitals in the Toledo area. The one near me (Bay Park) was designated the Covid concentration one. Covid patients shipped and treated there. So I'm curious to see what actually happens with the hospitals.
It's what we're still trying to mitigate.

Italy's at around 28k cases, 2-3k/day, and hospitals are overwhelmed, with insufficient ventilators among other issues. Simple math says we have 5.5x the people, so hopefully 5.5x the hospital capacity. So hitting 100k-150k in the US should be similar (depending on cases per day, recovery time, etc)

If I had to make a guess based on only having been to Italy in 1992, I would bet that Italy's people were already underserved by hospitals before all this started. Kind of a shithole.

They have more beds per person than we do.
