Totally fucking worth it so far. The Ravens v. Patriots game saved my ass this week. Flacco, Rice, and Welker.

I normally don't watch the footballings, but this was too amusing to pass up. I had to watch the videos for more information, and I noticed something else that no one seems to be talking about. When the ref came back to the field with the results of the official review, he said "Touchdown Denver."

Maybe they watched a video playback from a different game.

Right...?

The replays from the front make it look a lot more like a simultaneous catch. I dunno, I think with normal refs, even if same call is made, people don't complain so much.

Seems the pass interference call shortly before was a bigger issue, but I don't see a replay of that anywhere.

Nope. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v....e#t=71s

He's drowned out a bit by the crowd, but he clearly gives the touchdown to Denver.

It was still funny... I made myself hear Denver the first time, and then I was like "wait.. that didnt quite sound right"... took about 5 tries to figure it out.

They did call some team the wrong name another game, but cant find that video. Strangely every search for something about the refs just mentions last night.

This is what happens when you hire replacement refs that were fired from the Lingerie Football League for being too incompetent to ref the games.

Sportscenter is reporting that a deal was reached minutes ago and the regular refs will be back Sunday, and maybe even for tonight's game.

How awesome is it that the replacement refs' final play was that TD/Int call?

Brokering a deal is all about the leverage.

Tentatively, it calls for their salaries to increase from an average of $149,000 a year in 2011 to $173,000 in 2013, rising to $205,000 by 2019.

Not bad for part-time work.

Yep, back tonight.

Conspiracy theory: Replacement refs were thought up and planned long ago by actual refs as a bargaining chip.
