I thought you were saying that the news was exaggerating or lying about Trump's words/actions. I'm saying Trump's on the news and twitter enough that you get his own words to back up most of the reports.

The original statement was, "Administration inquires into" putting him on rushmore.

I asked if it was an official government inquiry, or if trump just said something stupid again.

Turns out trump just said something stupid again.

But everyone was taking it as the other, official thing, and lamenting that it was stupider than it actually was.

I think I also pointed out that every time one side wants to dig the other side, they trot out "he wants to be on rushmore"again. So it's old and played out, and honestly, dishonest. It's too bad Trump hasn't started/escalated any new wars, like his predecessors. Then they could trot out, "He's going to bring back the draft and invade Iran!" Oh wait, we had that a few months ago, didn't we. Then trump totally defused a tense situation. Well fuck. Well, into his second term we can bring back out the "He's going to suspend the constitution and refuse to leave office!" We're already getting it for this election cycle, even though, deep down, we all know aint shit gonna happen. Same old lies, time after time.

According to the Republican source, it was an aide in the administration asking if it was possible to get him onto Rushmore.
