Damn, ACLs getting torn all over. No, really.
Steelers welcome new teammate/ex-con.
Hah.
"Then quarterbacks get protected more than any other player," Bennett said. "I mean, he gets hit in his knees and he's about to cry, making a whimpering sound: 'They hit me in my legs.' Everybody gets hit in their legs. Every play somebody tries to hit me in my legs. So what makes him different? What makes his life better than mine? I've got kids. I've got stuff I like to do on the weekend. But because he gets hit in his legs, he gets a flag. He gets up with a sad face like the world just ended because he got hit. I mean, you got hit in an NFL game. Who cares? Get back up and be like, 'Good job.'"

Umm.. I'd sure as hell take Vick over Pat Devlin! This is who the Browns just picked up because Johnny Jack Ass has a sore elbow!!
Its preseason game 3 and Johnny can't play because he's a pussy! And supposedly he's been having sore elbows since his high school days.
I think I'm with the Catt.. GO SEAHAWKS

You'd think if he could do all that he'd win the Super Bowl this year.
Just sounds like more reasons to cheer!

Officially down to a single FF league this year. The keeper one I've been in since '02 isn't happening for the first time I can remember. Good thing I won it last year. Looks like I can concentrate my efforts on the non-keeper league this season. Really have to get my brain out of PPR mode.

I'm in a keeper. For the 2nd year in a row I managed to screw up the first round of the draft, and get a defensive player.
Last year, I was late. I had set my rankings, but the league had a "draft missing/empty positions first" rule
This year, I was on-time, and had even setup a queue of players to draft. but the queue is ignored unless you click the "away" button, and then it defaults to the "draft missing/empty positions first" rule, so I'm screwed again.

What not to do after you lose the starting QB job you were supposed to win.
Things from around the NFL:
Nursing a sore throwing elbow, Johnny Manziel will sit out the Browns' third preseason game, coach Mike Pettine confirmed. Pettine conceded that Josh McCown will enter the season under center, telling reporters, "I think I've said he's the starter without saying it."
Johnny Practice Squad can't even beat Josh McCown out of a starting gig.

LMAO - watched hard knocks last night re: Mallet
Their hard ass coach made the decision on starting QB and told them both to their faces in a small room, pretty manly, actually. (mostly manly because my wife was shocked that is how it was conducted and I replied that only women would do something like that through email or phone call or whatever dumb shit she was thinking) None of the behind-the-back tell both guys how close they were and could be, etc.
Just, Hoyer is the starter, Mallet is the backup. Deal with it. His criticism of Mallet is that he wasn't as consistent as Hoyer, on the field, in practice, in meetings, etc.
Certainly oversleeping and missing any of the above is definitely a red flag for consistency.

Derek Anderson was good one year, too.
