Just noticed that Steam lets you install games on other drives now. In the past, when you installed the steam client, you told it where to install stuff. And that's where EVERYTHING went. Now when you select a game to install, it asks which drive you want to install on. Cool. And about time.

It's interesting that Counterstrike player counts are right there with TF2, but it's almost flat with none of the daily spikes. What does that say about Counterstrike players? Do they never sleep?

Counter-strike is played alllll over the world. I'm a big fan of the CS series, and i've found that 75% of the servers are foreign. Mostly German/Swedish. CS is really big in Germany. And no, CS players really don't have lives/jobs, thats the thing with CS. You have to spend an unbelievable number of hours at a time playing just to get anywhere close to competing with those guys. TF2 you can log in with almost any skill level and do alright, CS, you'll find yourself throwing your keyboard through the monitor before you're at the "across the map Deagle headshots" level heheh.

Nice.

I'm ready this time. I've got a long shopping list, a notification service, and a twitchy paypal finger. Bring it.

How long do these things last? I'm debating whether or not to invest in a...

1) media PC
2) desktop development/gaming PC
3) single PC to do both

More than a couple games I'd like to pick up from the library.

This sale will continue until July 22nd, although specific extra-good deals will come and go throughout that time. Some deals are daily, and others swap out every eight hours.

Hey. Remember that time when Valve was giving EA all kinds of shit about servers being overloaded? Ya. That was cool.
