My thoughts, happy or sad, will not affect hospitals.

Define 'Shutdown'.

I'm surprised we don't have a poll on who here will get it first.

My wife and kids are supposed to go to Florida to visit my in-laws. They're talking about leaving ASAP, but are scared of being trapped there.

Tons of small businesses will be going out of business, unless they can work deals with their banks/landlords.

Whatever Spain/Italy/China/France/etc have been going through: Only emergency places open + grocery stores, no widespread travel, etc.

I do not think anyone here will get it. But my money would be on Leisher or Gordon :)

I think we'll all get it, probably already have. We just won't be symptomatic.

That's not a very scientific take.

"Gordon sending good wishes to hospitals" was pretty scientific.

The governor said something about how they'll protect businesses and workers.

I know Trump just signed something about student loan interest being stopped during this shit. I wonder if we'll see similar actions taken towards utilities?

I saw that a minute ago. "Easy to acquire loans at a low interest rate to keep employees on payroll" isn't really a great deal for the business owner.

I've been reading various accounts of people who are going to lose their jobs. The majority of people don't seem to be immune to service job destruction, in a service economy.

It looks like the tradeoff for not overloading the hospitals for a few months might be the complete destruction of the economy. If you can't go to your job, you can't pay your bills. It's going to have a ripple effect.
