Oh drink the kool-aid Gordon!! 20 million people are now insured. It doesn't matter how many people who had insurance now can't afford it. It doesn't matter how many people lost their jobs because of it. It doesn't matter how insurance plans provided by employers are now going the way of the dodo. It doesn't matter that employers started cutting employees hours so they didn't have to give them health benefits. Benefits they now can't afford because they work fewer hours. It doesn't matter how crippling this shit is to small businesses.

What matters is FREE SHIT!!!! Whooooooo!!!! Vote for us!!!!!!
Man, when you put it that way, I can't believe how racist I sound.

Unless it comes out of Jake Tapper's reporting, I second source CNN, too.

Based on the inauguration speech, I half expected Donald to turn into Batman and rid Chicago of crime.

It was an amazingly consistent speech to go with his campaign pitch. Facts be damned, but it was on message.

I totally agree that the left has no sense of proportion, but with this statement I don't think you do, either. I remember the over reaction on the right in 2008 being just as stupid.

Did you happen to see the comparison photo yesterday, showing the difference between the attendance of Trump's inauguration versus the attendance for the woman march? It was showing the mall going up to the Washington Monument as about 66% empty, as I recall. The photo was supposed to illustrate that lots more people hate Trump, than not.

Here'a a gigapixel photo of the inauguration showing people packed in all the way to the Monument. People just can't stop lying. (Right click/new tab it, Leisher avoid)

I saw that. I figured the Trump inauguration pic was not taken at the same relative point in time compared to Obama's. That being said, I figured Trump wouldn't get the numbers Obama did either. Both were true. The people lying about attendance (either by implication by photo or out and out lying) is stupid and exhibits low class.

Oh, was there another going around showing Obama's inauguration? I wasn't referring to that one, didn't see it. Don't want people to think I am lying.

But on the other hand, it is kind of nice to see the media again nitpicking every little unimportant, non-newsworthy thing that comes out of the White House. It's been too long. I hope they keep it up and remember they aren't just extensions of their respective political parties.

Their new found realization that they have been slacking in their duties is rather maddening. Every time I want to jump to Trump's defense for them nitpicking something like the size of the inaugural crowd, Trump does something equally small and petty and doubles down on it in response.

Reminds me of the news story a few months back about the KKK, BLM and Westboro Baptish church all getting into each others' faces and to devolving into a literal poo flinging exercise. I just find it hard to root for either side.

Israel's news is ablaze with stories that Trump will announce the move of the US embassy to Jerusalem this week. That is much more relevant for both the news media and Trump than this stupid shit.

Take the fucking Twitter creds away from him already.
Early Sunday, Trump took to Twitter to lash out at the millions of protesters worldwide who came out for the Women’s March on Washington — before sending a much more conciliatory tweet later in the morning.

“Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn't these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly,” Trump tweeted at 7:47 a.m.
President Donald Trump and his team are still fuming over evidence of a relatively small crowd for his inauguration

But here's my favourite quote...
another senior adviser explaining that the administration is offering “alternative facts.”
Alternative facts.
Doublethink is the act of simultaneously accepting two mutually contradictory beliefs as correct, often in distinct social contexts. Doublethink is related to, but differs from, hypocrisy and neutrality. Also related is cognitive dissonance, in which contradictory beliefs cause conflict in one's mind. Doublethink is notable due to a lack of cognitive dissonance — thus the person is completely unaware of any conflict or contradiction.

I wish they would as well. But I don't think they will. There are few in the media concerned with anything other than jerseys.
