Holy shit, that's Cleveland luck right there.

In other news, reports are coming out that Brady will be suspended next week.

Early rumors have it at a year. Per that link the Patriots seem to be worried it'll be 6-8 games.

Any penalty that lets them keep the championship is a joke. I don't think they'll give a fuck about losing Tom for 50 or 100% of a season. They will give a fuck about the trophy being taken away.

They won't take the trophy. The Super Bowl is the Super Bowl, the end.

I'm enjoying listening to Pats fans try to rewrite history.

"We beat them 45-7! Deflated balls didn't mean shit!"

No dummies, that's the game the NFL decided to actually investigate. The entire league has been talking about the difference in your footballs for years.

The stats posted earlier in this thread showing how your team magically stopped fumbling despite using no name RBs that fumbled plenty when they played with other teams indicate maybe the balls weren't just under-inflated.

And again, the NFL destroyed all evidence of SpyGate to protect the integrity of the game.

You've won 4 super bowls. I challenge you to win 1 without cheating.

Military branches paid NFL for salutes to military.

Really?

Redskins often had salutes to veterans at the games. Not on the list as having received $ for it though.

The Department of Defense offers a breakdown (below) of payments since 2011. Teams that received taxpayer funds include the Baltimore Ravens ($799,000), Cincinnati Bengals ($138,960) Cleveland Browns ($22,500), the Green Bay Packers ($600,000), Pittsburg Steelers, ($36,000) Minnesota Vikings ($605,000), Atlanta Falcons ($1,049,500) Indianapolis Colts ($620,000), Buffalo Bills ($679,000), Dallas Cowboys ($62,500), Miami Dolphins ($20,000), Kansas City Chiefs ($250,000), St. Louis Rams ($60,000), and the afore-mentioned Jets.

1) Since when the fuck does aforementioned need a hyphen?

2) The Falcons got over $1M?

3) This has been a great month for sports. Sham boxing fights solely for profit, juicers crowding out legit players in MLB. The NFL ... goddamn ... just the NFL.

Browns praying to god that Johnny Rehab can outdo Josh McCown. Because if he can't, he might as well retire now.

The league announced Monday that quarterback Tom Brady was suspended four games, the team was fined $1 million and will lose its 2016 first-round draft pick and a fourth-round pick in 2017.

So the Patriots have to start the season without a QB? Big deal, Cleveland does that every year.

Remember the Chappelle's Show bit where he wondered what it'd look like if cops reversed their treatment of street thugs and white collar criminals? We need someone to do the version where the Patriots are treated like every other shitty NFL team.

This was a slap on the wrist for someone caught cheating for quite some time.

And the second time for the team in 8 years.

Horseshit.

Don Yee, said in a statement, via Fox Sports' Mike Garafolo: "The discipline is ridiculous and has no legitimate basis. In my opinion, this outcome was pre-determined; there was no fairness in the Wells investigation whatsoever. ...

In? The? Fuck?

The NFL commish couldn't be reached for comment because he was busying deepthroating Bob Kraft.

Here comes the bus:
"Patriots owner Robert Kraft advised Commissioner Roger Goodell last week that Patriots employees John Jastremski and James McNally have been indefinitely suspended without pay by the club, effective on May 6th. Neither of these individuals may be reinstated without the prior approval of NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent," the league's statement reads.

The Pats toss the two little dudes right under it. Class act, asswipe.

Harry Reid:
I find it stunning that the NFL cares more about how much air is in a football than it cares about a racist franchise name.

Team needs to change its name to the Washington All Politicians are Overpaid Fuckos and call it even.

Just rename them the Washington Corruption. As their mascot have cartoon versions of whomever is the leader of the Republican and Democratic parties. They spend their time at the games sort of pretending to fight with each other, but mostly sucking each other off.

Wells responds.
Wells said that Brady worked with him on most aspects of the investigation, including a face-to-face interview in which the Patriots star was "totally cooperative." That responsiveness ended when Wells sought information on Brady's cell phone.

"I said that I don't want to see any private information," Wells said. "I said, 'You keep the phone, you the agent, Mr. Yee. You can look at the phone, you give me documents that are responsive to this investigation and I will take your word that you have given me what's responsive.' And they still refused."
...
"I believe the conclusions have been proven. I used the words 'more probable than not' because that is what's in the rules."

Suck it, Patriots.
