Maybe second biggest, because "Remember the Maine."
A statement for you

If everyone infected has been identified, then the "Don't blow off a .1% chance of death" number is something to worry about.

I still say don't worry. Even if you're 80 and get infected, you're still probably not going to die from it.

Charlotte airport isn’t empty, but there’s fewer people than I’ve ever seen here.

You keep your dirty Ohio Corona-virus-having ass out of our state.

MIT biologist says fear mongering on coronavirus will go down as biggest fraud to manipulate economies

Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, an MIT scientist and researcher on the human immune system, is one the experts who think the media and the “Deep State” are doing the world a disservice by exaggerating the impact of the virus.
It's hard for me to take conspiracy theorists seriously.

Also, the notion that 15% of the people needing medical attention is not cause for concern? Really?

15% of reported cases?

I.dont think it's even that complex. Scare tactics get eyeballs on your media, and that means more ad revenue. Add an election year with one side willing to do anything to defeat the other side, and they'll give the fear mongering credence. Suddenly, Disney world is closed.

Yes. No one knows the true count.

Gym was underpopulated today. A few youngsters like me in there, and a few brave olds. So that's nice. Fuels my Last Man on Earth fantasies.

The kid and I just watched Outbreak on Netflix.

There was a little message in the detail page, "The #9 most watched title in the USA, today."

SO next week, Tues ---> Thurs, my kid has "remote school." Apparently each teacher picked how they wanted to do it. My kid has to get on Zoom (some sort of skype clone?) at 8:30 Am every day to do an online lesson with his Spanish teacher.

His math teacher assigned videos to watch, and then an assignment, and then a 10-minute, 1-on-1 phone call to discuss the work. English has reading and online questions to answer. Etc.

So.... that's weird.

His Spring Break started after next week for two weeks, so Governor Fuckface's "schools are closed for 3 weeks" order only affected us for 1 week.

Yes, because school matters.

Some % of people with coronavirus end up with permanent lung scarring, so that's awesome.

I read a rumor of that about a week ago. That was the thing that gave me pause. Would suck to be permanently crippled.

But, that's a standard risk with any pneumonia. So.

My official prediction remains with "thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands, will get it and never develop symptoms bad enough to ever get checked and become a "confirmed case." Because of this, mortality and hospitalization rates of carriers will remain erroneously high." That's the square my dollar is sitting on.
