I was exposed to it last night, and call me misogynist, but it absolutely IS cringe. BTW, love how the writer calls all criticism of the trend as misogynistic.

Hey, you do you. If this is how you get your jollies, go nuts. However, that doesn't mean the criticism that it's garbage is invalid.

1. It's a workplace. Is filming TikToks the best use of your time? How does it help the company make money? How does it better the employees? Sure, we could discuss morale, but is morale really high when they're all getting murdered on the internet? To be fair, I would accept team building.
2. It's about the women listing two of their characteristics and it's interesting how many of those characteristics are the women objectifying themselves...but I'm sure that's men's fault.

I saw it several days ago, and I don't get it. But, whatever.

Idiocracy is certainly in play, but I also see small elements of Mad Max.

It seems local police don't do much traffic control any more.... red light running, and "we won't chase people who run because that's dangerous" is step 1 to the wastelands. And, of course, a philosophy of "Don't snitch" ensures the criminals continue criming, almost forever.

I was reading the post office is looking at changes to save money, which will add a day to most mail deliveries. This is not a good sign when a government takes in more and more money, and can provide fewer and fewer services. Another step away from order, toward chaos.

USPS is self-funded, not government-funded.

Ok, fine. The price of stamps keeps going up, and the quality of service is going down.

Serious question: How many stamps do you use a month? We use about 1, cuz I have a client who still wants a paper bill despite it being 2024. (We do still send Christmas cards, so we use stamps for that). But otherwise, I don't think we do any more. Almost everything is digital.

The local post office, for the most part, is the only daily interaction most people have with the federal government. As people are struggling with the cost of everything else in their lives going up, the post office being unable to maintain the current tempo of mail delivery isn't a good look, no matter where their funding is coming from.

The United States Postal Service getting worse is a sign of decay in the psyche, whether fair or not.
