Does he forget that his coach was involved in the biggest cheating scandal in NFL history? A scandal much bigger than we'll ever know since the NFL shredded all document and evidence related to it.
Does he not listen to ALL other athletes who are saying they know their equipment like they know their own body, and there's no way a football could be two pounds lighter without Brady knowing it AND no equipment manager would fuck with his QB's footballs without being told to do so?
Did he not listen to Bill Nye explain how Belicheck's "environmental conditions caused the deflation" theory didn't make sense?
Is Robert Kraft drinking the Belicheck Kool-Aid?

How many players was your team short of a Super Bowl run?
WOW! while that article sheds a kind light on the Browns, I'd have to disagree completely with these morons.
If you click on the teams they give a list of Elite, Good, Average and Bad players. What the fuck are these ass clowns smoking? Alex Mack, Paul Kruger and Joe Haden are average?! I'd argue the those 3 could be the three best players on the team!
Yes, I think Mack is better than Joe Thomas, no coincidence that we went from one of the best running teams in the league to one of the worst the week after he was lost for the season. Meanwhile, Joe Thomas might have had more penalties than any other player on that team this year. And to put John Greco and Joel Bitonio ahead of him is just an insult to anybody who watches Browns games. Bitonio had a fantastic season as a rookie, but he's just a rookie, he can't be elite and ahead of a probowler like Mack.
Then to put Haden on the same level as Justin Gilbert is a failure of epic proportions. Did this dude even know that two undrafted rookies beat this guy out? If it wasn't for Johnny dominating the headlines, you could argue that Gilbert, the 8th overall pick was one of the biggest draft busts in recent history. He wasn't even active for about half the games this year and his off the field issues have also been a problem just like the rest of the clowns on this team. There should be another list called "the really bad" and Johnny and Justin should be on that list.
Then to list West, Crowell, Hoyer and Cameron as bad behind others that deservingly deserve that title is just ludicrous. So they overvalued some players and undervalued others, but 5 players short? I don't know, give us a QB and possibly
Brady sounded lawyered up. If I was a ball boy or member of the equipment staff, I would look over my shoulder for a big-ass bus.

Give the Rams a solid QB and a couple real dudes on the o-line, they'd be a real team. Certainly enough to take out Frisco and a Palmer-less Arizona team.

I find his stonewalling of the media justifiable, fuck contractual obligations.
I find it to be the act of a selfish jackass who doesn't know how his bread gets buttered.
Making yourself available to the media means putting yourself closer to your fans. It doesn't mean you're a slave or whatever bullshit he's trying to say.
Here's a thought: If you don't want to deal with the media, quit the fucking game. Go play in the CFL. You'll still get rich, but nobody will care.
Otherwise grow the fuck up and realize it's a part of your job.
I don't like doing my annual budget, but I have to do it.
In one of those fun moments that often gets overlooked, though, Lynch returned the wallet of a Seattle-area man who dropped it at a gas station where Lynch was filling up.
...
Lynch and some teammates were on their way to Marsyville-Pilchuck High School, which endured a deadly shooting just three weeks ago, for an assembly.
Some dudes simply don't give a fuck about etiquette and would rather speak through their own actions, on the field or off. Does he have a chip on his shoulder? Yeah. If I had his stats, I might, too. If someone forced me on to a podium I didn't want to fucking be on but had to fulfill because of some bullshit legalese, I'd probably pull something meta like that.

I have no problem with him not wanting to talk to the media. I would probably deal with it about the same.

Lynch isn't the go-to "face" for that team. You got Russ for that. Lynch is the grunt in the trenches getting you Ws. That's how he gets paid, that's how he gets fans. You also don't hear about him causing locker room throwdowns or getting into legal trouble, which is how most players make themselves look like asswipes. No one buys a Marshawn Lynch jersey because they think he's gregarious. Does he grab his balls? Yeah, when he scores a deciding TD in a postseason game, one against a division rival. He pays the fines and doesn't put himself up on a cross, nor does he do it every TD. I bet you that all his teammates have his back. So he's got an attitude. So does Steve Smith the greater (also a fan). I haven't seen it cost his team yet.

What part of that has anything to do with his job?
It's nice, and his teammates paint him as someone who's really great in the community, but how are the fans supposed to know? And who are you to decide Russell is the face of the team? Marshawn is the better player right now.
In front of the cameras, that he has to contractually get in front of, he's a jackass. He embarrasses his team and becomes a distraction.
If he has shyness issues or something like that, ala Moss, then his team is failing him. They should be telling the NFL to back off so they can ease him into the light.
As it stands, despite what he may do in stories we never hear, I just see a guy who only talks to the fans via the media in evasive answers where he's clearly ignored, and a showboater who does classless things like grab his dick in his opponents' faces.
Plus, as I'm typing this I just saw him do a Progressive commercial that either was in conjunction with ESPN or just Kenny Mayne from ESPN. In the commercial he was talking up a storm. So he's either a hypocrite or I'm missing where the conflict is that he's taking a stand against with the NFL.

I'd pay the fine every time. It's the bullshit fact I'm forced to do something that seems outside the scope of my job, which is "play football."

The QB is the answer man on virtually every single team in the NFL. Marshawn may or may not be retiring next year and may or may not be a Seahawk. Wilson's younger and they will lock him the fuck in barring an act of god.
So he's either a hypocrite or I'm missing where the conflict is that he's taking a stand against with the NFL.
Jingles. It's the jingles. And the Progressive dudes probably aren't the ones ripping him whenever he has a shitty game.

No you wouldn't. You'd back down like he did today when faced with a $500,000 fine. Sure he answered with the same answer 29 times, but he was there.
By the way, "seems" outside of your job? You're playing a child's game for millions of dollars funded by the people of whatever city, and you decide actually communicating with them isn't in your realm of responsibilities?
1. That makes you a selfish jackass.
2. You're not the boss! The NFL has been around a LOT longer than Marshawn Lynch and will be there after he's gone. Their game, their league, their rules. End of story. Why don't you find a job requirement of your own that was part of the deal when you were hired and tell your boss you're not doing it anymore. No explanation, just refuse, and do so in the most insubordinate way possible. Let me know how that works out for you.
The QB is the answer man on virtually every single team in the NFL.
That is ridiculously untrue. There are a handful of great QBs who can be looked upon as faces of their franchises. For the rest of the NFL, such perception falls on the coach or other players. Steve Smith was that face with the Panthers. Ray Lewis with the Ravens. Despite Brady, Belicheck is the face of that team. This list goes on.
Also, you keep trying to put one guy for each team in the spotlight. It's a team game! Fans root for the team (or as Simmons says "the laundry"), not just one guy. In Seattle's case, ESPN has been going to all their other players to get their reaction to Lynch, which proves my point.
Jingles. It's the jingles. And the Progressive dudes probably aren't the ones ripping him whenever he has a shitty game.
So yeah, hypocrite.
And a coward if he can't face the media when he has a bad game. Someone from the Browns shows up in front of the media every week, maybe Marshawn should go see their wizard to learn courage.
BTW, despite all of this, I still have more respect for Marchawn than I do for the entire Patriots organization. Lynch might have misguided standards and likes to be a classless asshole on the field, but at least he's not an arrogant cheater who gets caught yet demands an apology from the people who caught him.
One other thing occurred to me, so I want to add:
If this turns out to be a marketing move by Lynch and his agent to get gigs he never got prior to this...brilliant.
