The Browns cheated during games...it didn't help.
Seriously though, what the fuck is with Haslam? I thought he was bringing stability to the organization based on "what he learned as a part owner of the Steelers". I was genuinely concerned that Cleveland was going to start being a competitive team again because they finally got a good owner. I'm starting to think he's nothing more than a Jerry Jones knockoff.

The Washington Redskins were intent on upgrading their front office this offseason, and they now have signed one of the NFL's stronger talent evaluators to be their next general manager.
According to NFL Network, McCloughan will take over the GM role for the Redskins after his successful talent hauls with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
Encouraging.
McCloughan stepped down last April from his post with the Seahawks because of some personal issues, and did the same previously with the 49ers. He spent five years with the 49ers from 2005-2009 and three with the Seahawks from 2010.
In a piece on ESPN.com, McCloughan's battles with alcohol abuse were well detailed, as was his desire to get back into the NFL this year.
Hmmm...
Hired.

Redskins' DC candidates
[Eric] Mangini also interviewed for the Raiders head coaching job recently, although there hasn’t been any indication that he has a strong chance of landing that position.
The Redskins have either interviewed or plan to interview Wade Phillips, Ed Donatell and Joe Barry for the defensive coordinator position.

Washington requested permission to talk with Niners defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, but was denied.
Sounds like Fangio's going to be the SF HC soon.

Browns looking at Weis
Which, as OC, is not completely laughable.

Just got an update that Dick Lebeau is leaving the Steelers. Everyone knew this day would eventually come as he's 77, but I'm not going to lie, it feels like a punch in the stomach.
This guy is a Hall of Fame player and coach. Unbelievable personality and just a winner in every way. He was also a Buckeye!
I don't know if he's retiring, but even if he goes to another team, I'd never look at the man with anything but respect.
Thanks coach, you will be missed!

Dez whines.
Do you feel like the better team won today?
"No."
In other news, did Eli sneak into Denver and take Peyton's place?

"You extend, you bring it in, you reach for the goal line," Bryant is heard muttering to himself as he paces the room.
Probably should have focused on catching the ball first.

Should Cardale Jones go pro?
"He has to go back,'' said Phil Savage, executive director of the Senior Bowl. Savage is also the former general manager of the Cleveland Browns and director of player personnel for the Baltimore Ravens. "Jones would be a midround developmental candidate at best.''
Can you really trust what a former Browns executive says?

I got into a new type of pool for the NFL playoffs. Basically, you buy a square and you have a chance to win money at the end of every quarter of every game.
Your numbers aren't just a static set either. They're randomly drawn for each week, and for each quarter. They also add a reversal in that the top line is for the "Winner" and the left column for "Loser". Thus, people can have the same numbers hit, but you don't know which person won the square until the game ends. (Follow me?)
Anyway, the squares are $400 each and I split a square with one of my wife's friends. We goose-egged week 1, but hit twice this weekend for a total of $800!
Hitting twice is basically what you're rooting for when you bet squares. Anything more is gravy.
Did I mention the final score of the Super Bowl pays $5k?
