Gene Smith needs to be fired for the bowl thing. Nobody wanted to go to a bowl this year at 6-6. Now watch us go undefeated next year.

On a different note, why is it that Yahoo had black and white proof of Auburn cheating, including former players saying they were paid, and naming coaches, but the NCAA found no evidence in their 1 day investigation?

How is it that Auburn, LSU, and Alabama oversign every year, yet nobody in the NCAA does shit about it? This is public knowledge!!!

How is it that one of the reasons Urban Meyer left Florida was because of the recruiting he saw in the SEC, yet that doesn't raise a red flag at NCAA HQ?

How is it that Miami was paying players and giving them huge perks, including getting them laid on yachts, but they were still losing recruits to the SEC? Nobody at the NCAA thinks that's odd?

How is it that Auburn gets investigated for 1 day, while Alabama, LSU, and Florida are all untouched, yet OSU, USC, Miami, UNC, Oregon, Boise St., Michigan, and Oklahoma among others have all gone through long NCAA investigations and all have faced penalties?

For some reason, I get the feeling that the world of college football isn't exactly running the same rules for all of its members. Perhaps OSU should apply to the SEC? :D

The more I learn about the NCAA, the less fun college football becomes. Which is pretty much the only sport I enjoy watching.

They remind me of EA. The fans get fucked over in the name of making money, and yet, the fans keep paying them so there is no incentive to change.

I actually told people during the week that the Steelers were being setup to lose. Way, way too many people hurt (Starting QB, RB, C, T, OLB, FS, DT, not to mention several role players), Harrison being targeted by the refs (his "late" hit wasn't any later than a Denver players tackle on Ben after a throw and that guy didn't shove Ben, he drilled him AND led with his head), the tragedy involving their RB coach, the high altitude, and the game being on Sunday because Teebo is Jesus' pet project.

The Steelers were paper tigers coming into the playoffs. Too many injuries to sustain any sort of push. I'm glad they lost now instead of getting routed by New England, which Denver will now do.

Weird way for both of those games to end.

And what a great day to not be a Harbough!!! Speaking of little brother, what a dick. He barely shook Coughlin's hand, and then refused to speak to the media. It's shocking that a U of M grad would be an arrogant prick...

Great game.

I liked that the Giants won. I think Coughlin is underrated as a coach, and Manning getting another ring makes the draft with him and Big Ben look more impressive. It also has got to kill Phillip Rivers who is as big a dick as they get.

Plus, Belichik's string of not winning shit since he got caught cheating continues, which is great since he cheated the Steelers in Big Ben's first AFC Championship game. The only way I felt bad for the Patriots tonight was they were playing for Robert Kraft's late wife.

Wanted to see NE win by 2 points. Was rooting for NE because they had more Michigan players that I knew of than NYG and I wanted 50 Cent to win his bet. But, it's cool that Manningham (Michigan!!) made super key plays giving NYG the win. I felt bad about the wife thing too.

Madonna looked old and decrepit. She stumbled on the bleachers. At one point, she was on her knees singing something. When she had to get up, she looked like a 60+ year old woman getting up after falling down some stairs. I expected one of the back up dancers to come over and help her up. All the somersaults, etc where 10% her and 90% the dancers picking her up and placing her where she was supposed to be. It reminded me of that video from the late 80's or early 90's of that 80 year old dancer with the 20ish male dancer and all the acrobatic moves they did. She just stayed stiff and hoped the guy didn't drop her while spinning her around. Madonna can still entertain and the regular dance moves, singing and stuff was fine. She should have stuck with that. Doing all the other stuff just made her really show her age.

Anyone notice the dual company commercials?

Chevy and Twinkies did a commercial together, as did Budweiser and GE.

I think Tampex/Trojan commercials write themselves...

I did notice the Bud/GE one, and I was like...wait, was that a commercial for beer or for jet engines?

Agree, 100%, same reasons I was cheering for the Giants.

And was cheering for Hakeem Nicks (former Tar Heel)
