Not convinced YET, that China news is not western propaganda designed to make China signal a side. Then beginning sanctions if they go the wrong way. This news contributed to a fall of the China stock market over night - an even clearer signal of what it means if they pick a side. Support the economy of like a Pennsylvania (and falling) or continue to trade freely with the NATO/EU bloc.
Over the weekend a dozen FSB agents were placed on house arrest. It seems pretty obvious now they took billions in pre war funds, blew smoke up Putin’s ass about how they spent it and the results they got, and it contributed to Putin’s belief in easy 2 days war.

I'd like to see airdrops of supplies into a besieged Kiev, ala the Berlin Airlifts.
"Dare ya to shoot at us."
Called it first.

The only city that really needs it is Mauripol, and we if fly any big planes over there we might as well inform their families ahead of time and inform the Ukrainians we are about to dump a planeful of burning fuel and airplane parts on them.

Then NATO has entered the chat.
They were smart enough to not shoot at the Berlin airlift.

I mean they already shot down a civilian airliner and *shrugged*. What do we think they will do to a plane providing relief to a besieged city?

When did they shoot down a civilian airliner?
I read somewhere they've already been warned about hitting NATO vehicle convoys, which suggests those are happening already.

Don't' all the Baltics have S-300 systems like the Ukrainians do? Roll those fuckers across every NATO border a few at a time. And leapfrog your way east.
caveat: I'm a RTS player and clearly know what I'm talking about
e: because the Ukrainians use this in their own air defense systems, minimal training.

Oh, 8 years ago.
I submit the tone of the situation has changed somewhat since then.

For sure - now the "separatists" are even more heavily armed.

Crazy footage from Mauripol, street to street APC's duking it out.
e: you can see feet behind the second vehicle, and then the gunner aims low. Ouch.

I remember Marine APCs firing the 30mm cannon out in the desert. 1,2,3,4 right next to you.... and then the sound of 1,2,3,4 impacts about 4 seconds later.

No part about this war made me regret by parents telling me to skip the ASFAB and go straight to college. It looks terrifying, awful, confusing, everything that isn't reflected in games but is hinted about in the WW2 history books.
I'm sure I could gain some courage if the USA was invaded - but the chances of that are so small. Aliens is about all I have.

The interesting thing about USMC bootcamp is that it is intended to be so harsh and overwhelming that anything after, even combat, is tame by comparison. Losing your head is what usually gets you killed.
