Best weekend of football I've had in a long, long time.
UNC, Panthers, and Redskins - All underdogs - All win exciting games.

Love it.

& the Steelers go down again. What happened to that much vaunted run game last year? & when do Big Ben & his receivers all click together? For a dude w\ 3 legit WRs & a good TE to throw to, he's been unimpressive.

Oh, and Notre Dame lost.

Complete win this weekend.

Holy shit. Indy pulls one out of its ass. Or maybe New England let it slip away. Either way, there's still two undefeated teams.

WOW. I went to bed at halftime thinking "Well, looks like Indy's just too depleted on D."

Woke up this morning, and was like "wut wut wut?!" when I saw the score, then I read what happened.

50-yard line, I might have done the same. 28 yard line or whatever? no.

Turned them off when NE scored their last TD sometime at the beginning of the fourth. Flipping thru the channels in the last five or so minutes. Caught the end of it. Way more fight than I thought the Colts had in them.

& the Steelers go down again.

(Side note: They're 0-3 without Polamalu, undefeated with him.)

Easily one of the sloppiest and worst played games I've ever seen. Both teams were garbage.

Stat leaders from the game-

Passing:
Carson Palmer - 178 yards passing
Big Ben - 174 yards passing

Rushing:
Bernard Scott - 33 yards
Rashard Mendenhall - 36 yards

Granted, it was the #1 and #2 run defenses, but what a fucking ugly game.

What happened to that much vaunted run game last year?

You'll have to explain what you mean by that. The Steelers had a horrible run game last year.

& when do Big Ben & his receivers all click together? For a dude w\ 3 legit WRs & a good TE to throw to, he's been unimpressive.

Yeah, he's a fucking hack. He should take his two Super Bowl rings and get off the field as he has no business being there, despite being on pace to throw for 4500 yards this year...

Something was wrong yesterday and despite what you'll hear, it wasn't just Cincinnati's pass rush. Sure, they got to him, but even when he was all alone, his mechanics were all fucked up. He was overthrowing guys. His decision making was terrible too.

The first game with Troy Polamalu out, the Bengals completed a miracle comeback based on stupid defensive play calling, a dropped wide open TD, and a few freak bounces of the ball.

This game Troy Polamalu goes out again on the first drive, Ben plays his worst game as a starter, our DBs drop three INTs, their INT came off another player's head and shot into the air putting them immediately in field goal range, and Cincinnati is gifted a kick return TD despite some brutally obvious blocks in the back in the path of the ball carrier.

Translation: The better team didn't win either game this year.

Horrible weekend for my teams. Steelers O sucked and they lost. Buckeyes look like shit despite winning. (I've got a lot of negative stuff to say about them.)

Thankfully, Notre Dame and USC both got beat. At least that gave me something to smile about.

This, and offsides on a kickoff, seem to be the two most undercalled events in football.

True. Meanwhile, pass interference is the most overcalled.

Roughing the passer.

That's only when Brady is playing.

I watched the Browns/Ravens game last night to feel better about my team.

It worked, it really did, that was some horrible football.

The day'll come when the QB just wears a couple flags. Soon as you grab one, he'll be considered "sacked." Looking at the QB for more than three seconds at a time will be a 5-yard penalty.

I think I'd go with pass interference over roughing the passer. In fact, I rarely see roughing the passer get called, but I also don't watch many Pats games.
