That's hilarious! you spent $8 to ensure you won't lose $10! You prolly didn't need to spend anything cause I've got 4 starters on a bye and chalked this week up as a loss since draft day. I'll take RG3 for one week, whatever. Not like Ryan Fitzpatrick or Brian Hoyer have been putting up monster numbers either.
Regardless, good cock block move. LOL

What's the situation?

I have Aaron Rodgers on a bye and he picked up Fitzpatrick and Hoyer in attempt to leave me with no QB this week. I took RG3, not great but I think they all will have similar numbers.
Funny thing is, if I suck Leisher just cost himself $18

It's damn near always possible to scrape a bye week QB from the wire.

In our league, when you lose you owe $10, and every transaction cost $4 a piece. So he spent $8 just to try and cock block me!
Gotta love Leisher's drive to win at any cost. Last year he racked up over $100 in transaction fees I believe. I made a joke with him that he would have to win the championship just to avoid losing any money in the league... He did.

Real cash? Four actual dollars?
Ricky Williams on an NFL do-over.

Yep, real money.. the money for each loss from the league is divided up amongst the top 3 teams. And all the transaction fees are put towards a big drinking gambling fest usually sometime around march madness.

Ricky Williams, I too, would have preferred to spend my post-college years rambling around the country getting more college pussy and smoking weed.
Sadly in the real life, you can't do that unless you have a job. And rambling around the country smoking weed and slaying co-eds pays less than you (apparently) think it does.

Nope.
New rules this year. No more transaction fees. I fought HARD to get them dropped last year and most people were on my side. We haven't had that end of year party in about 6 years, so there was no point to the transaction fees any more. Plus, they restricted moves. Peeps were simply not making lineup changes even when they needed to because they didn't want to spend the money.
(I'm not making this up, they're gone.)
But I was doing the moves as a joke. You're more than welcome to grab Fitz or Hoyer if you want them. Let me know and I'll release them immediately. I have no need for either and will be dropping them anyway once I see someone I actually want to add to my bench.

Spending real cash on adds/drops would be a dealbreaker for me.

WOW! nobody bothered to tell me this... I would have made many more moves this year knowing that

The add/drop money was a holdover from our fanball.com days. We not only paid a fee to use the site, but THEY charged us $2 for an add and $2 for a drop.
Then free sites came along and fanball.com is gone. (Bought out by somebody.)
The add/drop fee wasn't dropped in favor of an end of year party, but since I've always been the most active waiver wire guy (Every time we did get together, people would thank me for the feast...) I was fighting non-stop to get it dropped. Last year I said it goes or I do and others backed my play. So it's gone.
Why do you think the Red Rocker has been making moves this year?!

I really have no problem with it. I believe I was one of the first to agree with you and even said something about it at golf this year. I just never heard of the change in rules, that's all.

We used to use them. Fuck that site. Greedy bastards.

Christ. I just saw the NFL's anti-domestic violence and sexual abuse TV spot. Ye gods. It looks like the almighty himself smacked around a couple of those players.

Panthers season pretty off the rails after that loss. Unless we somehow storm back after the bye week we can start thinking draft really early.

Eric Decker starts contest on Twitter. Not the best idea.
#jetsnation, tell me why you love the @nyjets using #jetsdiehardfan and I'll send a signed prize to my favorite.
Some examples:
because normally drinking heavily at 1pm on a Sunday would make me feel like an alcoholic.
...
That time Rex guaranteed a Super Bowl and then went 6-10
...
I love @nyjets because they make me believe even I could play in the @NFL

Why?
Cam's a shitty QB and Marshall plays with a shitty QB.
