Jets player: blames the NFL schedule gods.

Marvin Lewis has taken a few too many shots to the head.
"I coached defenses and linebackers for a long time and concussions didn't linger," Lewis told reporters on Wednesday. "Now we have found that because of the media and things they seem to linger longer. There's a lot of attention paid to it. I don't know why they linger longer. I don't remember them lingering like they do now."

Dr. Marvin Lewis, neurologist.

Cousins: not legit.
Gruden's proclamation ends any speculation that Kirk Cousins might retain the starting job once Griffin returns. As recently as Sept. 23, Gruden had left the door open for Cousins.
...
Said Gruden: "If things continue in this downward spiral, there's always a chance we could go to Colt."

It's unknown if Gruden was referring to McCoy or .45.

Uh ohh... lookie who's in the top half of the league.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings

i do take these rankings with a grain of salt, they are just fun to look at. i mean Seattle has the same record as the Browns and they are ranked 5th and two weeks ago they had the Bengals as #1! really? the Bengals?!!

The Browns are literally two plays away from being 5-0 right now. If those two plays went the Browns way then they would undoubtedly be #1. I don't for a second consider them to be the best team in the league, but it does show just how much these ranking are "what have you done for me lately".

That's why they're weekly power rankings. And the Browns have a soft schedule for the next few weeks. Should pad their wins nicely so the disappointment cuts deeper when they get bounced from the playoffs.

The Browns are literally two plays away from being 5-0 right now.

The Cubs were one play away from the World Series. Shit happens. Hoyer could get injured again and Johnny Mediocrity will have to go in and lose six or seven straight starts.

Only one team every year doesn't get bounced from the playoffs, and thats the Super Bowl winner.. But thanks for thinking they are gonna make the playoffs, cause the Vikings sure as hell aren't!

Hoyer could get injured again and Johnny Mediocrity will have to go in and lose six or seven straight starts.

You mean kinda like what happened to them Vikings?.. Yeah, hows Teddy Bridgewater working out right about now? i'd bet you would be happy with "mediocrity" cause he's not even close. What a bum.

They've also had their entire offense turned upside down. They weren't making it before that, but their rookie QB is starting while Johnny's sitting on the side doing coke off his clipboard.

Yeah, hows Teddy Bridgewater working out right about now? i'd bet you would be happy with "mediocrity" cause he's not even close.

Teddy's not a douchebag like Johnny is and has also racked up more NFL experience. I'll take him over that fucko any day of the week. I'll take Derek Carr over Johnny. I'll take Matt Glennon over Johnny. I'll take Blake Bortles over Johnny. I'll take any Manning, even Archie, over Johnny. The Vikings got rid of their last locker room cancer some time ago. Cleveland, on the other hand, drafts that malignant tumour of a human being and it's currently pissing off their starting QB.

There are lots of douchbags in the NFL, prolly multiple douchbags on every team. But noone gives a shit what little old Malcolm in Minnesota thinks. Infact you could say Johnny has been a saint since the season has started. He aint out there bitching about not playing, you didn't see anything from him on their bye week. All the shit you hear from the national media is just flat out wrong, how is he pissing off their starting QB? i listen to local radio everyday, team bloggers, people who travel with the team to every game, and each and every single one of them will tell you Johnny is NOT a cancer, he has done nothing to disrupt any locker room continuity. Thats prolly why Hoyer has been able to take control like he has. So all your "knowledge" on Johnny from watching sportscenter is laughable.

Plus, its prolly best for Johnny that he's sitting. Besides Andrew Luck and Russel Wilson name me one day one rookie QB that has panned out??? I'll tell you, NOT MANY! RG3, Bradford, all the past Browns QB's. Carr, Bortles, Bridgewater all fucking BLOW! maybe they should sit and learn, as i recall Arron Rodgers, Tom Brady sat for some time before they got to play.. and they are two of the best there are.

So you can take your "non douchbag" Bridgewater cause i can tell just you how far a nice guy gets you in the NFL. I know from our past nice guys, real winners there. Infact the last winning QB the Vikings had was Farve, kinda a douch if ya ask me.. but you didn't care, they won! So i'll go ahead and take Johnny douchbag as our backup QB, don't bother me one bit.

And don't you think that you ragging on a suspected coke user when you yourself are an admitted drug user is somewhat hypocrite? i mean, i think you have more run ins with the law than Johnny has.. am i right??? hmm.. Kinda makes you the bigger douchbag if ya ask me.

Stranger in Cleveland ranks higher, no doubt.

how is he pissing off their starting QB

Here.
Currently leading the NFL with 13.6 yards per completion, Hoyer sports a 99.5 passer rating to go with his 6-2 mark as a Browns starter. Showing growing chemistry with play-caller Kyle Shanahan, Hoyer's rise has all but made Johnny Football an afterthought.

That success, though, has yet to kick-start Cleveland's front office into action. Linta told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport on Wednesday that "there have been no talks" since the spring, when the Browns offered Hoyer a long-term extension.

Tom Brady sat for some time before they got to play

Brady got to play because of an injury, otherwise he would've been Mr. Backup to Drew Bledsoe the rest of his life. Leish will tell you about the hype that is Brady, so I'll leave it to him.

And don't you think that you ragging on a suspected coke user when you yourself are an admitted drug user is somewhat hypocrite?

1) I don't have an NFL contract with all its legally binding bullshit about illegal substances.
2) Our records are pretty close.
3) I admit it. Johnny doesn't. Maybe he should grow a pair and say it.

Umm.. I'm sorry, how about that baby beater Adrian Peterson?!! maybe not a cancer, but definetly a bigger douche than anyone in the NFL, even Ray Rice. So your hero and only good player since Randy Moss is the biggest douche to ever set foot on an NFL field.

Beats up little babies..

How was Favre a douche? The guy believed in himself and liked to show his dick to pretty girls. Doesn't make you a douche or we're all douches.

That being said, you're right that a lot of these spoiled athletes are douches. Big Ben is a douche, but went 14-1 as a rookie and won two Super Bowls (one included the best pass in Super Bowl history). Although, I think hanging out with Justin Beiber, being a spoiled rich prick, and getting a pass while you don't attend classes, illegally sign autographs, and do cocaine makes you a hated douche.

In different news, I've got a decision to make in my WR corp in my F&F league this week. I have to start TY Hilton to try and offset my opponent's QB, Luck. Plus, I can't sit a guy who blew up last week. I'm also starting Sanu with AJ Green still out. However, I'm torn between Sanders who had a terrible game in Denver and is going against SF's defense, and Gronk going tonight against a horrible Jets defense. I'm leaning Gronk.

I really dislike Burficit. If we had to play that dirty motherfucker twice a year like the other teams in his conference I'd really loathe the guy.

It will take every ounce of self control to not troll Bengal Twitter accounts when karma finally delivers his season ending injury.

Also, AP might beat kids, but no one said he was talking shit on or off the field.

And he head-hunted Kelvin Benjamin into a concussion and our #1 WR is probably out for next game.

Ok, i'm gonna do a little trolling when karma comes around.

I never said better or worse. I'm not defending AP. He got in trouble for doing shitty, stupid things. Not saying them. Until the child abuse, pretty much all his teammates liked him and looked up to him. Only time someone will look up to Johnny is if they need blow or bieber's autograph.

Really? My WRs need to stop getting injured.
