Thinking about it, TikTok pulling out might actually HURT the anti-war movement since Russians were getting a lot of real news from there.
Which is why it, and Facebook, and Twitter, are offline in Russia.

On a serious note, yes.

McD's closing in Russia too.
Russian propaganda ministers have to be working overtime to try and explain why the whole world is turning their backs on Russia as they fight "Nazis" in Ukraine.

Russia's had a persecution complex with the "West" for a while, so I dunno.
Also, at what point do they just nationalize these businesses and take over the buildings, employees, etc?

Wouldn't matter if mcds won't ship food there. Putin will prolly seize all assets of embargoing companies, anyway.
If so, it'll be a long time before any companies dare come back.

Top tricks business leaders don't want you to know - how to completely stop private business investment for generations.
See: Venezuela.

Russia keeps doing things over and over I don't see coming because "no way they're that stupid."

And the Russian people look on and support. It's the 21st century, you have to actively see what you want to see in the information age.
Never tell me they are innocent in this. I will never believe it until the day I die. My grandpa not liking the Japanese? Yeah, that's me for eternity with Russians.

That bullshit online when we were trying to have civil discourse for years. The random attacks, nonsensical diatribes and whattaboitism that caused so much strife between Americans? It is clear now that many truly were Russian troll farms.
It is was these Orcs. Gremlins. Actual Villains. This is cultural.

I both wholeheartedly agree, but also disagree. While it is true that the truth is out there, so many people are completely stuck in their echo chambers that they don't know what's real and what's not. Even when presented with the truth, they find it difficult to believe if it's not from one of their "official sources". Plus, most people how no idea how social media algorithms work, and thus, don't understand that they're being fed what the app thinks they'll like versus differing perspectives.
Did anyone watch the video in that article I posted? Pilot didn't even have a chance to react. And check out the numbers of planes and choppers shot down. That shit isn't sustainable. No wonder the Russians are just shelling now. They can't fuel their tanks, their troops are getting massacred or deserting, their planes are getting shot down, etc.
If nukes didn't exist thus not preventing U.S./NATO involvement, any American/NATO expeditionary force would have pushed all the way to Moscow by now. I only stopped at Moscow because China would have already taken all of Eastern Russia.
If there's one thing I've learned from this "invasion" and what I learned from the Gulf Wars, it's that people who call the U.S. imperialists are fucking idiots.

I have a bad feeling about it. I think the west isn't doing enough to help, and Putin is taking some time to learn about supply lines.

I don't. Even if he kills the Ukraine leadership, he can't hold it. The Ukraine people aren't going to let puppets run their country. I saw an article estimating that Russia would need half a million troops permanently in Ukraine to hold it. The same troops who are being told they're there squashing Nazis and would quickly learn that's bullshit.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Putin just needs an "out". His ego won't let him admit defeat so negotiate a win for him and this will end immediately. I don't know what that win would be, but there's one out there somewhere.

I think he's fixing to flatten Kiev with artillery, and no one will stop him from killing every single citizen inside. Then there's no one to resist the puppet government. I'm seeing a lot of warcrimes done with impunity. The west isn't doing enough.
