While a gay Bond is something I'd rather not see, spies engaging in homersexual activities in movies is not new. See The Jackal. I thought that was well done without being an agenda forwarding scene. What was odd was it wasn't Richard Gere doing the gay stuff.
The gayness would have to be something that facilitates his saving the U.K./world. Anything else is un-Bond-like.
