Yea, I know why he's in there. And, I suppose, if I'd to pick a role for him, that particular role would be up his alley. But, damn, you can't expect to hitch yourself to what I consider to be a pile of shit & not get a point or two taken off.

Will I still be seeing flicks w\ him in them? Sure. He's an entertaining as all hell actor & usually plays in films I find amusing. But this sure as fuck won't be one.

I was thinking about avoiding this one right up until then. If he's in there as a villian, I now must see it.

Now this image makes me feel a bit better. Toby being in the black suit makes me think there is some darkness within himself that he is fighting story and not just Venom in an identical but darker suit.

Maybe the alien attacks peter first and he fights it off and it jumps over to Brock then. That would be fine.

I bet the crazy son of the Green Goblin poisons Peter Parker in an attempt to kill him, since he now knows Parker is Spiderman, and makes him "dark"/emo. Remember that Goblin's son's company has produced personality/performance enhancing chemicals in the past.

I'm guessing the producers won't let aliens anywhere near this franchise.

Go back through and read this chain again.

Comic Con got a sneak peak and Venom IS in the film and according to the article I linked earlier, those nerds liked him.

I do agree with Gordo though, unless they show Peter coming back from the Secret Wars or they have a meteor hit, I'll bet they have someone in the film invent the symbiote.

As for the "darkness within himself" storyline idea...ugh. I HATE it.

That kind of story is so NOT Spiderman. The whole point of the character is that he's a good guy and always does the right thing no matter what. "With great power comes great responsibility."

That statement is Peter's inner demon.
