When Hannity starts reporting about all the textbooks that are Christian biased instead of properly secular, then I'll start to give a shit about what he has to say about this.

Given my druthers, I would choose to have my child taught a book by the religion of "turn the other cheek" over the religion of sharia law. However that's spelled.

That's why I say we should let all those Catholics swarm over our southern border.

Hell, no. Most Christians follow Christ's teachings about as well as Muslims follow Muhammad.

Doesn't change my answer. Modern Day "rules" of islam are much more barbaric than the modern day "rules" of christianity.

Modern rules don't mean shit when your adherents are still living with a mindset in the 1500s.

If I had to pick one, give me sharia any day. That's something that is nice and clearly shitty to fight against. Christianity is just as evil and deadly overall, but it's much more insidious about it and harder to get rid of.

I disagree completely.

Christianity is past their "kill the non-believers" phase, and has been for a long time.

Islam is right in the middle of theirs, and considering the economic and education levels of their primary bases of power, I don't see that changing anytime soon. When your life is empty of purpose due to no jobs or culture, and the only thing you have is religion, you tend to get really, really serious about it. Any shades of doubt about your religion mean an attack on who you are and your entire existence.

It's rare that you can find a Christian these days who follows their religion 100%. Lots of Catholics think priests should be able to marry, gays aren't the devil, condoms are a very important tool to stopping world hunger, pre-marital sex is an important as trying on shoes before you leave the store, etc.

I'd rather deal with folks already making compromises than folks who consider me converting to their religion the only acceptable compromise.

I'd rather deal with the dudes I can win over simply by giving them more access to free media. Know what'll give them something else to believe in besides religion? Figuring out that there is other shit besides it.

I've been saying for some time the way to beat the religion's grip is to give them X-Boxes and Playboy.

Remember, Japan had a similar culture until post-WW2.

Well, that whole "you don't believe what I believe so you are destined to burn in hell for eternity" is hardly unique to Islam. Almost every denomination of Christianity would agree (with the obvious difference of who will burn) completely. Many Christian sects further hold that other Christians that aren't their particular type of Christians are destined to burn in hell.

I fail to see how any of this is in any way surprising or unexpected. It's a cornerstone of the vast majority of organized religion. It's one of the tools the clergy use to insert their "us versus the rest of the world" mentality into their flock, and help to lock in their brainwashing for generations. Sometimes it's "I'm sad these people will burn in hell and I will try to convert them so they may avoid that fate." Sometimes it's more "burn in hell you sinners I'm so much better than you for I am saved and you are filth!" But regardless of the specific flavor, it's very nearly universal.

Yeah, but that's a country culture versus various competing versions of a belief system. And they stood toe to toe with us and fought. It's merely a matter of getting enough of them to want change.

I didn't care about that part. I was more interested in him pointing out how other people's laws, unless based on Sharia law, don't mean shit to them.

I'm just curious to watch and wonder when reality will trump political correctness.

Ah, that. Yeah, that's one area where the Muslims are a bit more insane than their counterparts.

There will be many riots and large cities burned before the UK gets a handle on that issue, I'll bet.

Japan still had enough people that remembered when that country's economy didn't suck and they produced useful, refined goods for sale. If the Middle East didn't have oil reserves, they'd be asking all the third-world countries for their spare change.

In 2001 they claimed only about 10% of muslims approved of what bin laden did, so we shouldn't blanket accuse them all of being barbarians. 10% of Islam is about 100 million people, though. Find me 100 million christians who think the inquisition is still on, then you convince me.

But we had to nuke them twice to convince them that their emperor wasn't a god.

I'd be interested where those 10% live. Probably in the shittier countries. Insane "Christians" living in a shitty country. They're as Christian as Bin Laden was Muslim.

So if we nuke two cities in the Middle East, that should do the trick?

I guess you have to keep nuking them until they admit there is no god.
